HOBART HOCKEY 2025-2026 REIGNING THREE -PEAT D3 HOCKEY CHAMPIONS

Most successful programs have had the existence of a winning culture cultivated over time that includes academic achievement, community involvement, and athletic success. Hobarts recent success is based on nothing more than a financial investment in better players. Facilities, academics, and coaching staff have all remained the same. As long as they continue to invest in their players, everyone else is playing for second place.
This is nonsense. They haven't missed a NCAA tournament since 2015. I am sure the financial packages help, but they aren't building all star teams with the best players available. Go through their roster and look at the players junior resumes, nothing eye popping. They simply play their system very well and all buy in to what Taylor is selling.

Thank you JSlicedog for your input. Not sure what is motivating this "member". I can tell you that recruiting good players and teaching them the system , as well as dedicating themselves to fitness so they can outlast everyone in the third period or overtime are the keys. I've seen quite a few opponents falter at the end of games when the Statesmen keep the petal to the metal due to their fitness levels.
SK8, last year our hockey team had one of the highest GPAs of any sports team on campus, their community involvement is exceptional and Coach Taylor has always focused on developing men that are team players that happen to play great winning hockey, so excuse me, but you have no clue what Hobart Hockey is all about.

I believe he was referring to financial investment in all ways by the instituition, and not payments to players specifically. Hobart currently has the resources for exceptional fin. aid, which allows them to get athletes in for a lower total investment that many other schools (other than NESCAC- if they wanted to fully invest in athletics, you could skip holding a national tournament).
