2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

Curious how much b*tching will be coming from D3HN with the NCHA in line for 3 bids right now if SNC holds on. (Not saying the league doesn’t deserve them).

More an indictment of the people complaining the NPI/PWR “doesn’t work for the west”.
All it took was upset mania in the NESCAC. It looks like Aurora might hang on but Adrian will still be on the outside looking in?

Slight updates to the NPI overnight put Salve and Aurora ahead of St. Norbert, which changes the West outlook.

I wonder if it's the adjustments
*Team's NPI has been adjusted to remove negative effect from defeating weak opponent.
#Team's NPI has been adjusted to remove positive effects from losing to strong opponent.

SNC may see Stout in Round 1
Hoping for bracket integrity in round 1 🙏

Stout is, if everything goes the way we think it will go, the biggest loser in all of this.

Congrats, you get the #5 seed, here's the #8 seed in Round 1 and then a potential trip to NY for the quarters. Brutal draw

I'm not crazy about this. The Middlebury/Salve + Neumann/Hamilton pod looks weak at first glance (Hamilton has lost 3 of their last 4 - and their sole win was in OT) and Hobart seems to have too tough of a draw.

D3 Hockey has it slightly different.
Aurora/Stout vs Utica/AM
Norbert/Saint Johns vs Hamilton/Neumann

Congratulations for finally catching on what has been going on in the west for the last 25 years. Huzzah to you!

So I noticed they removed the West pool restrictions and are just taking the AQs and 4 AT-Largers regardless of region. This means theoretically that there could have been exactly 5 West Teams in the bracket, which would force a quadrant to exist that isn't 100% West or East. This would imply that they're now willing to allow East/West travel in R2. Does this mean they are changing they way they do things entirely, and will now give fairer seeding in opening rounds. Have they commented on this? Please correct me if I said something wrong above.
