UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

UNH has scored two goals or less in twenty games this year with a 4-15-1 record. The one player that baffles me is Sam Oliver, a 52 goal scorer last year in the QMJHL, he has 2 goals and is now on the 4th line.

Welp its a cat v dog fight for sure..had some de ent chances in the 2nd. Getting outshot (as per the norm) but picking up 25-13. Sitting just up from KC he's had some great saves. Need some offense...starting the 3rd on the PP

I’m literally lol in the way I used to lol 25 years ago drunk in a pub with a crew of my best wanna be alcoholic neanderthal friends. Of course what was being said back then would not have been uttered to a broader group. Neanderthals only.

This is getting ridiculous. You can have the best defense in the world but if you can’t do squat on offense you aren’t going to win many games. UNH has done a nice job these past few games forcing teams to play their game (clog up the shooting lanes, etc). And make it a low scoring game. You can certainly tell it frustrates the opponent to no end. At the same time, you DO need to score at the end of the day. I could count maybe 2-3 decent chances on offense tonight.

And I agree with GrouchyCat - this EASILY could have been 5-0 or more without KC. You can’t rely on your goalie day in and day out like this. You will get burned more often than not.

UNH has gotten guys who were top scorers in the prep leagues, and then they come here and it all vanishes… if MS7 survives this year, he needs a new assistant or something. Something HAS to change on offense. They said on the air we are 60th out of 63 teams in scoring this year. That is beyond sad.

Looks like UML will lose tonight, so we will be locked into either 9th/10th depending on Saturday night… pick your poison I guess…

The comment that stood out on the broadcast was 16:34 elapsed between shots for UNH.

I missed that comment. That is abysmal to say the least. It seemed at times they weren’t even trying to generate offense (especially before UConns first goal). They were more interested in clearing the zone, switching lines, then rinse/repeat.

What are you waiting for in that situation? A dumb turnover by UConn leading to a breakaway? Good teams RARELY do that… and if that is the key to your offensive strategy, you aren’t gonna score much against the top dogs in this league.

This team won't score much even against a basket of puppies.

They have zero puck possession or any plan to exit the d zone. The defense flips it off the glass hoping it lands on a stick to be dumped in and not chased.

Oh Meathead! You just won’t let TheDumbCat be thought of as the dumbest poster without a fight! Even Buford has given up. Or maybe he just passed out?
I see I'm still living rent-free in your thick, empty noggin, potty. One complaint though, and not to sound ungrateful ... but it smells like malodorous Potomac swamp water up in here, can you take a frickin' shower one of these days, ferchrissakes?!? The stank up here is like you had a turd-flavored breakfast burrito ...

P.S. - I still own you, lock stock & barrel ... are you still wearing your "Hello, My Name is Chuck's &!+2%" nametag?? 😂 😂 😂 😂

It's the developmental magic of having three forwards on the coaching staff, all of whom basically topped out far short of an NHL pension.
