TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

I just can't. The thing I liked about that universe was the political intrigue. To transcribe yet another coming of age / redemption story there gives me a narrative I am tried of in a universe I am... tired of.

cf. the Mandalorian. I'm sure there will eventually be a Sex in the City reboot about elves in Rivendell.

Well my wife gave me an offer which, while I could refuse it, I would have greatly been disappointed, so I tried it. It's not as bad as I feared and I have some hopes that there will be a geopolitical aspect to get me off.

Again.

Can't say enough about the first 2 eps of Lord of Flies. The acting (sorry Kep) has been outstanding and you can tell a lot of conviction went into the production. Remains to be seen if the start can be maintained but I'm impressed so far.

Started season 4 of Shrinking. Still a decent show and kickass cast, although I don't feel a pressing need to watch it each week.

I love that Michael J fox is still acting a bit, and showing the world what parkinsons can and does look like. but man, it is so hard to watch him in the state he's in now. Even though he's had this disease for at least half of my life time, I still picture him as Alex P Keaton and Marty Mcfly

I’m watching reruns of Bar Rescue right now (yeah, I know) and currently it is the episode of that bar in Sparks, NV that Dan Serafini owned. It is really something watching this “Oh wow such a great guy inside, he’s really turning it around!” talk knowing he goes on to kill his father in law for money.

Wait, am I against that? That sounds like a good idea. What network?

You have famously said you are not a fan of major child roles. But maybe I'm off with that memory.

When you're able to get this over there you will not be disappointed. Whoever did the casting needs a raise.

Oh, if that's all then Lord of the Flies does not fall under the anathema. The kids are the whole point, not a lazy plot accessory. What I don't like is chucking a brat in there for tears and drama. In every horror movie where there's a single mother and a kid I root for an early death. Let's see the writers work a little.

Ok fair enough and makes sense.

LIke every single Jurassic movie... Drives me crazy, especially the way they have twist themselves into knots to make sure somehow a kid is involved.
