UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

I was thinking of that during the 3rd. UNH used to take UMass to the woodshed pre-Carvel. How the times have changed.

There’s no reason why UNH can’t change the script. But with this coaching staff? I find it harder and harder to believe each weekend…
Well the body language of the bench...the sad faces of the team...pretty much says it all...good challenge tho coach.

Well that was depressing… I don’t think you can take away anything good from tonight, outside of saying it is over. The boys should be well rested for tomorrow as I don’t think they ever left Durham…

Not sure how many more losses like that we have to endure before someone’s card access is revoked at the Whitt…

At this point, tomorrow would be a great time to start Coombs. The team needs a spark if they have any interest in more points this year. We’ve tried Whale a couple times and it hasn’t worked out. Maybe the young Coombs has a few highlight saves up his sleeve to inspire his team. One can only hope…

UNH only 1 point behind UVM for 10th place in HEA, and with a game in hand! Moreover, UNH only 4 points behind UML for 9th place, with two games in hand! Why so glum? Got ‘em right where we want ‘em!

Reminds me of a song about lost love...

You're trying hard not to show it BABYYYY'
But Baaaaby, Baby we know it!!!
You've lost that winning feeling...whoa that winning feeling...you've lost that winning feeling now it's gone, gone, gone...whoooah whoa.

Man I need a life. Seriously tho...if you saw that shot of the team towards the end of the game really said it all...sad, frustrated...I HATE that
for them.

Sure you can be generous now that Bentley has won their division for the first time ever...! Congrats Snives...enjoy the post season!! (y)(y)(y)

The problem with "games in hand" is that for them to mean anything, you gotta win some of them.

And tonight, UNH will beat UMass 4-2. If nothing else, last night should make UMass overconfident as he11 ...

So, whadya all think, did Anthony DiLorenzo pony up da cash to get Saturday night’s game at the da Whitt on NESN?
TDL needs the cash for himself, with his run for the GOP nomination in CD-1. Might somewhat explain why renovation plans seem to be on hold as well ...

I hope you are right, but I don't see a win. With LeClerc TBD and back to the old ways of getting rid of the puck like it is hot potato, there is no sustained offense. If Musa is back that does not help the odds either.

Also...would like to say that I am not too thrilled about paying 40 bucks more for my seasons ticket renewal...harrumph.
Ref, you gotta look at things this way ... what if this was UNH's way to raise more funds to buy out a certain underperforming HC? Not sure how many season tickets are out there, but what if it's made known that the $40 increase (at say 1,500-2,000 season ticket holders) would go towards a fund to make the buyout more financially viable ($60,000-$80,000 per rough calculations)? You get that done, and then on the back end, any folks thinking about dropping their ST's are probably 90+% back on board PLUS you're going to sell some new ST's on top of the existing ST base, just due to the unbridled optimism, and suddenly you've cleared out the current problem, and have re-energized your base for the next few seasons.

It would only take about 6,000 donations - coincidentally the number of seats at The Whitt - of the same $40 amount to account for a full season buyout. If you are a long-standing UNH fan, and someone gave you an opportunity to pay $40 to rid us of the worst coach in the program's history ... how many would say "no"?

Like thats going to happen?? Look...we will renew like good little doobies...because we care about the program...have built an entire life around it with friends etc..but doubt seriously our funds will go to a buyout of the HC.

Overconfidence is a strong drug. It makes one relax, and lose sharp focus needed to get positive results. A two hour bus trip doesn't help, and if you take your eye off the ball puck for just a moment, you find yourself unexpectedly behind, and your opponent is instantly energized in front of their home crowd. People start diving in front of your shots, and they might get the benefit of some marginal calls, and there you are, with 3 minutes left in the 3rd period, trailing 3-2 and your goalie is sitting at the end of your bench, staring back at his unguarded goal. Puck takes a funny hop in the neutral zone, bingo bango, it's in your net, and the home fans are suddenly showering your bench with cries of "warm up the bus!" for what is shaping up as a 6 hour feeling, two hour silent bus ride home ...

Then don't.
We have been loyal fans since the 2014...trying to rationalize continuing. Then I see the faces of those players looking devastated season after season and figure that it's still worth it and try to support them monetarily the best we can.

We arent in it for winning games if that were true we would have quit years ago. But if UNH has an 'oh well' attitude about people like us (and many others who have left) they are going to face an empty arena...That said...Mr.HR points out its only 2 bux a seat/game so there's that...
