NFL 25-26: Blame The Refs for this Thread Title

Bill Belichick, the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach, is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer. In voting earlier this month, Belichick fell short of the 40 out of 50 votes needed.

Not really surprising. He's been a dick for decades and that Brady won without him and he finished 29-38 his last 4 gave the petty writers an excuse.

Who are the voters? Curious if any of them have something against him...

This seem very personal.

(then again, the odd of this being some kind of maga rallying cry about woke is also non zero)

He won because he cheated. That's going to rub some people the wrong way.

No fear, he'll get in eventually. He and his annoying dynastic team from an inferiority-riddled, racist city will be yet another way for owners to monetize their investment.

He also paid his dues for that- and why is it the committee's job to make him pay for it, again? And I don't see the cheating at THE reason he won. Especially the inflategate BS.

Assholes don't get in on the first ballot. It is no more complex than that.

Plus, the voters are assholes too, and I'll bet they are butthurt over him making them look like Little Sisters of the Poor for 20 years.

I hate the Pats and I hate Bellichick and my hatred for the codfish yahoos of Massachusetts could fill War & Peace with enough left over for Anna Karenina, but even I realize the Pats dynasty is the greatest in football history and Bellichick is its architect. They're the greatest team, Brady is the greatest QB, and Bellichick is the greatest head coach of all time. Rushmore is him and then some dwarves.

But jackholes gotta wait. Them's the rules.

Just to be clear, why was Bill considered such an asshole? Granted, he was rude to some of the press, but some of his reactions were for some pretty stupid questions.

But to the rest of the football community, what was it that was so bad? Do we honestly believe that no other coaches got away with the same things he did? Seems like one of the reasons he was the one who got caught was that they won so much.

So educate me why the voters had some kind of thing against him. Other than him making so many of them look like fools beating them so many times.

Who can say what charisma is, who has it, who lacks it? Why is Dump beloved while JD has the social pull of gonorrhea? Bill was repellent -- I do not know why.

I can guess though. I think he was mostly hated for the same reason that smart NASCAR driver from a decade or more ago was. He reeked of smugness and contempt. He oozed disingenuousness. He was an x's and o's techbro. The average sportsball fan is a dope who likes to believe brains are for pussies and a fist will solve any argument, and Bill showed them all up.

I didn't care about that; if you out-think the Morlocks you're okay in my book. I just hated Bill because he made that bilious sump of vile fucktards happy 8 times. My hatred of Bill is pure sour grapes.

So you have noting other than contempt. Pretty weak.

You seem to be priming people that Brady won’t make his first ballot for those “reasons”.

There has to be something other than being butt hurt.

I mean that's bullshit though. He also developed defenses to counter some of the historically best offenses in Super Bowls three separate times. Like him or not, if anyone is first ballot it's him.
Of course it's bullshit. Regardless of sport, HOF voters act like they're the holy gatekeepers of heaven. They suck.

I'm going with the theory that said voters are jealous of the fact that he's banging a babe almost 50yrs younger than he is
