UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

HE only has 2 teams in the top 16 (BC, Providence) and they are at 15/16. Strange year for HE for sure… as Snively has mentioned before we may only get the auto bid into the tournament this year. When was the last time HE only had 1 team go?
Through no fault of their own, UNH climbed from 22nd to 21st NPI Friday night and dropped to 23rd NPI on Saturday night. PC now 13th, BC 17th, Yukon 18th NPI.

The ultimate "irony" is that you got your feels hurt online here a couple of years ago, threw a hissy fit, promised to leave and never come back, and have since come back as this self-anointed vessel of vengeance for your former identity, and imagined (silent) supporters who you continue to claim as backing your cause, whatever that cause apparently is this week (other than to "defend" the UNH Men's Hockey HC, who can't himself be bothered to engage with the media or UNH fanbase).

So you hide in your anonymity, threaten to out a few posters who formerly agreed with some of your takes, and spew rancor and stupidity on a regular basis.

Can't we just leave it that you like your place in MA, we like our places here in NH, and you should just keep your tax policies on your side of the border??
I promised to leave if you left. If you and Meathead quit posting so will I. That’s what I proposed. Offer still stands.

As for my feelings being hurt, that’s not possible. I’m anonymous. How could my feelings be hurt? lol. You are pretty dumb.

Since you’re too dumb to figure it out, I post under ther steam of your stupidity. Accordingly, I go away when you and meathead stop posting. Of course if you post thoughtfully, my posts re; you will be thoughtful.

If they had won those games they may not have beaten Mich state, UConn, and swept Maine. I will take the latter :)

Winning those games makes the losses worse, not acceptable or better.

When the end of the year comes, if the fanbase is patting themselves on the back for an opening night victory or a split in Storrs from outside the tournament field - because we missed the layups - I wont be joining in...

But hey, if they hadn't lost National Championship games to Minnesota in '03 or Maine in '99, we might not have the glorious memories of sweeps earlier in each season!

We enjoyed this event today. Guys wore their jerseys so you could see who was who. Lots of fast paced drills and scrimmages. Shootout contest at the end and then team meet and mingle if you wanted to engage.

Decent amount of people there..Nice to watch MS7 in his element l; Jim T helped as Stewie/Coach Jeff weren't there. Maybe something they do yearly going forward. Kudos to the 'Cats!

From your lips to God's ears...

Souza would like to schedule more UNH practices at community rinks in the state either this year or next year. Ideally, it will become part of the team’s regular routine, he said.

“I think it’s important that our program gets out and connects with our community beyond the Seacoast,” he said. “I’d like to think of us as our state’s team and I think our state’s team needs to get out and be seen throughout the state.

“Hopefully it inspires the next generation of New Hampshire kids to want to play here at UNH.”

Who knows, maybe MS7’’s next announcement will be holding postgame or at least weekly pressers? What a concept that would be!

This is great news to hear from MS7. I agree holding more of these events can only be helpful with increasing community advancement and boosting excitement about the program.

I wonder if they will kickstart actual games at other NH rinks? Similar to how ME plays a game or 2 in Portland ever year. It’s been a number of years, but didn’t UNH use to play a game or 2 in Manchester each year?

Only concern I could think of is you obviously don’t want to go to a rink with a seating capacity of 500…

Interested to see what comes next!

On a side note - big weekend coming up against NU. They’re reeling after a tough weekend sweep against UVM, and I imagine they are gonna come out guns ablazin’ to end their skid. I’ll admit I didn’t watch either game. Where do you think UNH can take advantage of NU? 6 huge HE points up for grabs - gotta get at least 4 out of 6 in my mind (and the more the merrier)!
