BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

Giving up 0 is a huge improvement. Not blowing it in the last minute is huge improvement. Only taking one stupid penalty is a huge improvement. Winning most of their faceoffs is a huge improvement.

Now, score four goals tonight. Then I'll get encouraged.

They're 1-0 #NewSeason

I'm eager to see the new kid tonight from Section 118. (Alumni Band! Over 100 signed up!!)

BU Hockey: It's Go Time
Siiiiiiiigh. This was not was I expecting tonight.

What a failure - at home no less. Big Mike was great (when he was actually in the net) again. I can’t believe he actually did that behind the net. Needed that game and couldn’t even put 1 in. And only 1 the entire weekend? From that group of forwards? It seemed like they missed the net a hundred times…Back to square 1.

I thought last night they were horrible in the offensive zone a lot of possession but few chances. Their best chance was for Hutson making a spectacular play and with him out ( I assume it was rest related) it further hampered them. It’s hard to believe with the skill level they have on paper they can’t generate chances. PP has been bad this year and with Sasha as the QB it was a disaster he doesn’t move his feet he’s a statue. Yegerov was a total numbskull giving up that goal but that shouldn’t have been the GW so hard to blame him. This isn’t LY make no mistake this is what they are there is no “run” coming. Look at how much better BC has done with the loss of talent then BU. That’s coaching and character.

Well at least they game me a chuckle at the end when they gave Yegorov the 3rd star of the game! What the hell LOL.
Well, he did have the primary assist on the game winning goal.

This team is kinda trash. They coast. They don’t skate. And they either hit the goalie in the chest or miss the net completely.

Time to jump on the Sharks bandwagon. 😎

I’ve seen a few BU games this year and, IMO, they are leaderless. 19 NHL draft picks that are playing for the next level and not for each other. There doesn’t appear to be any BU pride. Maybe it’s “kids these days”, maybe it’s the state of hockey development, whatever the case, it’s sad to see. BU has always beamed with scarlet and white pride, I just don’t see it with this group.

There is definitely a key component missing from this team. You know, the component the Sharks have in spades.

Drew Commesso with a shutout last night. Everything came up Chicago sports yesterday. (Sorry Red Sox fans. 🙃 ) It helped me recover from the sad BU game.

in a way, you guys helped the sharks win last night. i had the game feed open when they scored the tying goal so i kept it open for OT and it worked 😛 come join the fun

have we recovered from last night? here's some reality- it is a lot of doom and gloom for being shutout by one of the best goalies in college. hrabal has been injured a lot this year and looks like he's finally back to his full powers. BU generated more overall. not saying it was a perfect game they should be happy about, but it wasn't some complete disaster. id give Lawrence a few games to settle in before declaring anything.

even if they go perfect the rest of the season, i don't think they'll make it in NCAAs but that has a lot to do with the entirety of hockey east and their dreadful out of conference record. penn state was able to pull themselves out of the depths of pairwise last season with a strong second half because big 10 had the non conference success to boost the entire conference win value.

i know the disappointment of the whole season has everyone on edge and dour, so i don't blame anyone for the gut reaction to the game. i hope this puts it in a bit more perspective at least.
