UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

If Croteau (given up 4 goals in 5 games) starts in net for the Big Green, how many goals do the Cats score on him before Cashman replaces him with Clarke (given up 9 goals in 5 games)?
Both goalies are going to be sidelined for the game with gingivitis.

The game will also be delayed for an hour when a crazed man with a shovel storms the ice. No one will be hurt.

But if “lack of development remains the biggest knock on Souza,” how do you explain the improvements in Ring and Fitzgerald this season?
Exception to the rule or, more hopefully, progress. I think that last season's team was the best example of his development challenges as a coach. Following the 20 win season had you seen development gains from key players, notably Devlin, Huard, and Jensen, that team would have been competitive in HE and nationwide. Instead, they regressed and you got the results we ended up with. I think the lack of production from Cy this season is a key data point.

Agree! I guess you could say Robert Cronin was an exception given his production in his Senior year...

The lack of development knock, which I support, has a counterpoint. 21 yr old freshman do not has the same development potential as an 18/19 year old. Famous Umile development stories include Saviano, Butler and Thompson. All were 19 year old freshman. Fitzgerald and Ring were 20 year old freshman. Maybe a bit more development juice to squeeze than the 21 year old.

A not so small factor in Souza's resurrection is the role of the CHL freshman and sophomore transfer. These guys have played a ton of hockey against men in the CHL. They are physically and mentally tough and have the wherewithal to play tough defensive minded hockey. Alfond Arena isn't a big deal to them. Not very sexy to watch always but effective. The new recruiting rules have been the difference for this years team.

The upperclassman haven't improved much. But I'm not going to go negative on the coaches today.
My goodness ... MS7 goes on a 4 game heater, and potty turns him into our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We've seen these blips of winning hockey before, so let's take a chill pill, as I've suggested elsewhere, and see if this (finally) turns out to be the real thing OR just the latest in a long line of disappointing mirages.

For the record, I think it's eminently fair to consider a coach a mediocre head coach AND also to congratulate the same guy on his 100th win (in his 249th game, as someone else pointed out). He couldn't have picked a more memorable time and place to do it, either. So Karen ... in your mind, or whatever you're trying to do in that huge empty space between your dumbo ears ... the guy sweeps our archrival on the road, and somehow, unless you're "all in" on another extension (which I'm not, the jury is still out, I think 99% of us would agree on that), you can't put differences aside for a moment and give the guy kudos for a milestone and a good weekend?!?

Your world must be an extraordinarily bleak one ... that, or as usual, your head is so far up your a$$, it just looks really dark and smells godawful ... 😂 :ROFLMAO: 🤪

There is virtually NO counterpoint. Umile had literally dozens of his players pass through his program and go on to NHL careers that netted them pensions, not the 2-3 games and out variety that seems to feature nowadays, when a kid like Crookshank stands out because he's an injury call-up and spends 95% of his career in the AHL. And AC is the high water mark of the decade-long Souza Era. Kullen developed more in his fatefully short time than Souza has.

MS7's guys struggle to gain traction in the AHL, mind you. As of this very moment, again, there is no counterpoint. I hope that changes, but not holding my breath ...

Which means there is a counterpoint. Oh, Buford, you make us all chuckle.

For the record, I think....
The fact that you believe your incoherent ramblings constitute a record that other people are noting is laughable but also sad. You need to go downstairs to the basement and prepare for your imaginary nightly NESN interview.
MS7 goes on a 4 game heater, and potty turns him into our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
The word that you're reaching for like a small child reaching for candy on a top shelf of the kitchen is metaphor. It's pretty lofty language for a cavity filled person like yourself so I'll reach up, take it down and hand it to you.

Buford, it's time for your afternoon nap.

You need to up your meds Chuck. Next thing you know you'll be masquerading as a Furry or a Brony!
