Dump Term 2 Part 3: "But I Say Unto You, Hate Thy Enemies." -- Revulsions 5:44

Schumer and Jeffries will go in and help the GOP
Part of me says nobody ever gives you power, you have to take it, so if the Schumers have control of the Democratic party that's on us. It is up to us to seize it.

I think it's possible, too. dx, Handy, yourself, and Slap cover a fairly wide range of the Dem Venn diagram. (I am exempting myself since I bring nothing to the table electorally -- appeal to me and you maybe add 100k votes nationally). That is a coalition. And it's white and male, which is the Dem weakness -- we don't need a majority there, we only need a reasonable showing.

By rights a midwestern-dominated hockey board should run conservative. Okay, so it's college -- that tweaks it more left but even so. I think this board is fairly representative of the more conservative and compromising wing of the democratic party. We are typically The Problem when it comes to the Dems always cow-towing to the Schumer types. If we are all on board for moving the Democratic party farther left and actually challenging the billionaires, think of how much more women and people of color are.

Sounds like tbe plan was terrible anyways.
But, but, but, but it's supposed to be cheaper and better. I'm confused. You mean they were lying again?

Just think how much power we gave these clowns because of Obamacare and they have literally NOTHING in response. It's staggering.

Speaker Mike Johnson has told the White House that most House Republicans have little interest in extending the Affordable Care Act's enhanced subsidies, sources familiar with the conversation told CBS News.

I love how this comes out and there's nothing with it. What is Mikey's health care plan? Inquiring minds want to know.

HIS plan is to use that sweet sweet tax payer funded healthcare he gets. You got to figure out your own healthcare plan.
In a better world, cutting off health insurance for millions would get the GOP swept into the minority for the next decade, minimum. But this is America in 2025, and it is basically a Republican policy plank that no one has a right to healthcare or life (unless it's an unborn, unconscious, or even non-viable fetus), and they've convinced their moronic voters that it's somehow anti-American to think otherwise.

Lmao, Tennessee +5. And people think Nashville is some bastion of liberalism that will save that state.

Idaho +30 otoh, is the least surprising thing about that map.
That 49th in education standing really showing through there.

If it weren't for my amazing job (for a company owned by a Hollywood liberal, and tied to the non-consumptive use of a natural resource) and the amazing landscape, I would have been long gone or never even came here.

I flew into Alcohol Falls once, just to ski at Grand Targhee and Jackson. Once was enough.

And if it comes down to it, they will all be blanket pardoned of any federal charges by Button Mushroom.

Not that it will be needed, if 2026 and 2028 go according to the Project 2025/Peewee German playbook.
