Utica University 2025-26 - The Road (back) To Utica

Outplayed both nights by a better team. Adrian is good and Piros made saves when he needed to.
Definitely outplayed, but by a fairly narrow margin re: the skaters. The goaltending was the biggest factor. Piros was far better than what UU put out on Saturday. Curtain should get every start for the foreseeable future.

Utica matched AC's feet, but passed poorly. The ice was choppy, but it was choppy for both teams. No excuses there.

Adrian has returned nearly all their skill guys from a very good '24/'25 team, and has added more talent to the mix, most notably Piros. Watch out for them.

It's crazy to think that Utica could easily start the season 0-4 and still be a legit contender/expected to make the tournament.

Piros left Utica for Adrian ? If so, why ?
As I understand it, Ryan has some issues in his family, and he wanted to be close to home. (He hails from Howell, MI.) I've heard that Heenan supported his decision and that Ryan and UU parted ways amicably, and it sure looked that way in the handshake line on Friday.

By all accounts, he was happy in Utica and there's no bad blood at all.

I thought the same thing before the first puck dropped on Friday.

It'll be interesting to see Hobart tonight, and to compare them to Adrian. The latter looks like a FF team to me, albeit my basing my opinion on a mere two games.

I do expect a balls-out effort from UU, in any case. Nobody wants to start the season 0-4.

Looking forward to rekindling the competitive flame tonight between these two programs. I’m expecting a “no blood “ split of these 2 games. Good luck.

well gentleman we mightve just witnessed the game of the year. Some wacky bounces, an uncharacteristically undiciplined hobart team and i think about 5 lead changes and it ends with an all time gaffe by the Utica goalie. Hobart wins in OT. A game so confusing even the live stats people have the teams backwards.

Game of the Year in Week 2 is crazy work, but here we are 😂

I think it's obvious the talent is going to be there, they just need time to gel

And 0-4 to making the tournament would be a fun story at least

No posts in here since Friday morning? I wanted some insights on the perennial national power's 0-4 start.
