The big GOP talking point repeated endlessly from Fox News and the other rightwing water boys is we "only" won blue state races. Not only does this ignore the whole point is not so much the wins but the huge and consistent swings, but it is also factually incorrect. We won in deep red places too.
One of the few advantages of fighting an ideological cult is they just don't understand how things work. They get high on their own narrative. Dump genuinely believes the economy is "great" because he and his buddies are making a killing. You could see him noticeably at a loss when he was presented with a voter who supports him but said flat out prices are not going down and the economy is failing everyone who isn't rich. His response was, literally, "but prices are going down. This is our best economy ever. I am a wonderful boy. Everyone says so."
It has been infuriating that Dump's epistemic closure has meant he seemed bulletproof to the truth. Now we see the flip side and the weakness of all dictators and authoritarians: he can't self-correct because he can't see that he has ever made a mistake. This is an almost impossible thing to realize for any person who has evolved beyond toddler, but his personal reality literally conforms to his wishes. He can live in that dreamworld only until elections where other people with more reality-based observations contradict him.
We really need to study Dump's brain when he dies. He has been a fascinating example of a runaway mental illness all his life.

I helieve the stat is actually about non federal positions that are statewide. Stuff like Governor or AG.

There were people using the Virginia House of delegates as a primer for next year. I am forgetting the actual totals but it was something like winning 5 seats wasvthe "expected" outcome...5-8 seats means they flipped at least a couple lower Trump seats and anything past 8 meant they flipped some pretty solid Trump seats and the universal backlash is real.

Word on the street is those little tails will all be blue except Long Island which continues its long march towards Eastern Staten Island.
ArcView was once highly confidential SW due to all the ahem it is used for. First time I saw it in public space I nearly shat myself thinking I had crossed the streams.
