WCHA 2025-26

Uh oh, I think the Badger fans have picked up a little of our sandbagging.
If you think UW can beat your team missing 2 PK finalists, their top center, a top 4 D who is on pp1 and only play 7 forwards, your knowledge of college hockey is probably worse than Sierra's. Your like the anti-Seirra.

When is the last time the tunnelers defeated the sinners? That would be some knowledge that ECG most likely knows.

Isn't being an anti-sierra actually a good thing?

Can you honestly say that if UW was down all those players that you think you still lose? The losing streak is a meaningless stat in a new season. Both teams are 0-0 against each other.

Being the ant-Sierra is a good thing until you start typing things like UM will never beat UW again, even if UW used a cardboard goalie and sat their entire top line. When UW had that long losing streak against UM in the teens I never before the drop of the puck to start the game assumed UW was going to lose. Every loss galvanized me into thinking they would win the next game.

First time I've been referred to by acronym on here! I feel accomplished.

The last time Minnesota beat Wisconsin was December 8, 2023. Which wasn't that long ago all things considered. Minnesota won 5-3 despite getting outshot 36-22.

The last time Minnesota won at LaBahn was December 3, 2021, although they did get two shootout wins there since then.

Please just play nice and have fun! Don’t hurt each other and get some rehab in for those coming off IR. Some of us are excited for the USA Canada game next week!!!!! (Where I also hope they don’t hurt each other).

I think they'll break the skid this year but more likely they do it at home. But there are paths to victory this weekend. Wisconsin will be keying in on Murphy's line so it will have to be the second or third line that provides some extra offense. Or Clark, who's been great this year so far, would have to shut the door. Both of those seem more plausible than they did last year, the latter more so than the former.

I didn't say the tunnelers will never beat the sinners again and sit their whole lineup, although if I'm thinking more clearly (which I hardly ever do), going without a goalie for an extra attacker the whole game (and wearing Darth Vader uniforms) seems like something...The muzzinator might try.

This statement solely relies on how #18 for the ugly colored team conducts herself. I truly hope she will not light the tinder. I wonder how much crap she'll get from the BADger fans during the intro's and during the game. That hit was unforgettable. If I was Frosty, I'd start the 2nd line just to keep the crowd a bit less jacked up.

My hope is that MJ has the Badgers discipline enough to skate away - I'd imagine that's been a strong message this week.

I've been thinking about the protect your teammates arguement which I think propogated much of the melee in Minnesota/Ohio State - and I think in most cases can do both -protect and be smart. The example that comes to mind is if Primerano, who was clearly driven to action by the actions of Baxter, had pulled Baxter off Kreisz instead of cross checking Baxter - maybe we would have had a better outcome to that particular event. What I'm getting at is in that situation, there was a better way to protect/aid/support her teammate - and she (in the heat of the moment) chose the more aggressive action. That's where the discipline comes in - trying not to get pulled into the red hot moment - I can only imagine how difficult that is for the players.

What is really sad is there's way more juice in the WCHA women's thread for that series then for the men's series. This will be the biggest test even though the rodent's record is bad. I'm really looking forward to learning more about this team this weekend. Are they really better?

There's a lot of rodent skulls to get cracked this weekend. Let's Go RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So sometimes it's OK and sometimes not so much.

It seems like MJ runs a tight ship. Should be a great series, although I agree Minnesota has to be licking their chops if they are getting a Wisconsin roster that is short players. League points are league points.

What Murphy did to Harvey in last year's NCAA semi-final is NEVER OK, in the men's game or the women's game.
In any sport. In football that's 15 for un-necessary roughness. They might have even got tossed for that, especially in college football. It's a miracle she could play the rest of the game or the next one.

Let's go RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He does, but players have emotions and you can only push them so far and they will lash out.

Ohio State vs St Thomas - McCleod not even on the line chart. Frosh Taylor Kressin in goal.

Tommies up 1-0, past halfway of the 1st period.

-----------

Ohio ties it on what amounts to an own-goal. Rebound hits a St Thomas defender's leg and bounces in.

1-1 early in the third. Brooke Disher picked up another major for hitting Ilsa Lindaman in the head at the end of the second, and Jenna Rausio should have gotten a major for checking from behind two minutes into the third.

What was all that noise about the sinners being without a number of players...Looks like a pretty full lineup for the sinners.

Pretty decent game so far without a whole lot of nonsense. 1-1 after two periods.

Murphy was a lot more sinned against than sinning tonight.
