What DHS pulled in Chicago on Tuesday is wildly unconstitutional. They smashed down almost every door in the building, dragged entire families into the street, and detained people for hours ("Kavanaugh stops"). Ms. Fisher was held for five hours and another senior citizen was held for three hours.

An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs.

The winds of media are shifting, slowly, but shifting. Someone on Bluesky said they had been told to see what news breaks through the noise from traditional "comfort" media, the "we only really like writing fluffy, happy stories," media.
