119th congress: must be at least 75 to chair a committee!

Elise Stefanik booed off the stage at a local event in to rename a Clinton County office building. Says they were bussed in from NYC. I don’t know anyone who’ll take a bus from NYC to Clinton County unless it’s to go to Dannemora.

Also, Elise Stefanik went to something in her district.

Nancy Mace scheduled a speech and only 8 people showed up. So she walked past the stage and into a back room. No word on if she blames trans women for the lack of attendance.

Were her eyes flooded with tears as she left the building?

Well, I am neither apparently. The job of the Business is ownership. The job of the Government is regulation. Asking for 10% from the company while failing to tax them properly or regulate them properly reeks of pure laziness and a complete failure of the United States Government.

I haven't followed the Intel story very carefully, but the couple of snippets I saw suggested that Intel seemed to be voluntarily negotiating with the government to have the feds become a shareholder. If that's true, the company has to be circling the drain.

There is no way a private corporation wants the federal government as a substantial shareholder in its business. They prefer shareholders who throw away the proxy slips and quietly let the corporation do exactly what it wants to do. They don't want hedge fund guys who think they know the business better than they do, and they sure as heck don't want the government looking over their shoulders at shareholder meetings.

Intel must basically be in the same spot as GM was when it needed a federal infusion of cash to stay afloat.

It's called fascism - you own two cows; the state takes both, sells the milk for profit, and sends you to a death camp

Where "the state" is a syndicate of rich fucks.

"General" Pino! I keep waiting for the helicopter executions to start*. Any day now...

*IIRC, this was actually a Jorge Videla thing, but how dare our Internet memes be historically accurate!

Here is the guy I hope gets some traction against shaking suzie https://www.grahamforsenate.com/platform Can't imagine he can win with the money collins will have but?

Those are all excellent platform positions except term limits which for reasons I have repeated a hundred times sounds great but just strengthens billionaires, special interests, and lobbyists.

What we need is an age limit, not term limits. Put on our big girl panties and tell the Olds Lobby that's great grandpa now let's get you to bed at 65.
