I'd love for successful tech people to just be happy being successful tech people and stop pretending the one specific thing they got really good at is by itself magically going to solve all of the world's problems and so we need to listen to them. I've made a comfortable living but I'm not going to pretend networks and network protocols magically solve the world's ails; they might help you communicate better about what those problems are and collaborate on a solution for them, but in the end it's basically just another tool to help, but the legwork still remains.

And I'm not going to pretend that the cloud software I implement is much more than a ticketing system with some workflows behind it. The vendor loves to push their "agentic AI" buzz slop though. :rolleyes:
