Wicked Slappaahs
I miss Tie Domi
They already are, along with all the others. Maine and Q'pac have been extremely busy in major juniors.Maybe,I think clarkson is going to be recruiting alot out of the QMJHL in the coming years.

Oops, it's Ryan Dwyer whom I was thinking about. He played some for Baie-Comeau, mainly after Stanstead's season was over. Also Kamyl Chemrouk played a couple of games for Victoria.Krawchuk from Sudbury in the OHL.
I think it will help clarkson having a coach that can speak french. They already are, along with all the others. Maine and Q'pac have been extremely busy in major juniors.
And we still need another goalie....at a minimum !Today is 16 May 2025. There are 141 days until RPI's next game.
This is based upon 4 October 2025 for the start of next season.
Oster is good if they want to bring in two freshmen to compete, but would be a bit risky. Torrance would shore up our forward group as an option in the top 6The guy running the CHL to NCAA thread has done an excellent job tracking games and gathering info. One of his latest posts:
"...Oshawa is unique in that none of their 3 overage players have committed to NCAA. Along with LW Luke Torrance, there is D Luca D'Amato and G Jacob Oster. Oster was last year's OHL Goaltender of the Year and had a solid season. they could be among the guys wanting to finish their season before announcing or just not planning on going NCAA."
Seems like a kid like Oster would be a great RPI pickup .....if he had interest and aptitude to go the NCAA route.

Idk both goalies are OHL veterans with tons of games under their belt. I wouldn’t be too concerned. Oster and krawchuk pairing would be legit. Helluva lot better than the crap we had in recent years. Smith couldn’t recruit a goalie if his life depended on it.Oster is good if they want to bring in two freshmen to compete, but would be a bit risky. I hope that's not true because Smith recruited Krawchuk and right now he's the best we have lined up. If Coach Lang thinks Krawchuk isn't the guy (or he no longer wants to enroll) then I certainly hope they've lined up an alternative #1 from somewhere in juniors or overseas because the best we could get from what's left in the portal is a rotational goalie. If he does think Krawchuk could be the guy then adding in a veteran rotational goalie for a year or so might be appropriate while going after someone to compete with Krawchuk in upcoming classes.Idk both goalies are OHL veterans with tons of games under their belt. I put our recent goaltending woes squarely on the back of our horrific play in the D zone. Never have I seen a program fail to defend the back side pass more than recent RPI teams. Mathias Laing knows goaltending and knows how to coach it. But if you have a track meet occurring in front of your keeper on a nightly basis, it doesn't matter who you have in net. Also, I'm not sure what happened with Watson, either he was hurt and weren't made aware of it or he was on the outs with Smith. The guy didn't even get mop up time in the games we allowed 5, 6 , 7 goals against.Idk both goalies are OHL veterans with tons of games under their belt. I wouldn’t be too concerned. 630 - 570 = 103.I put our recent goaltending woes squarely on the back of our horrific play in the D zone. Never have I seen a program fail to defend the back side pass more than recent RPI teams. To further my point, Geisbrecht was tied for first in games played (21), 3rd in minutes played, and made 630 saves ---103 more saves than the next goalie on the list (Takacs from Colgate with 570).
Sorry RB, I usually know better and leave the math to you !! Ha ha630 - 570 = 103.
(Takacs was actually 527.)
I agree. Staggered is preferable.I personally don't like it when our top two goalies are members of the same class. I think that the best thing is if they are two years out of phase.
I was told there was going to be no math!630 - 570 = 103.

I am still kicking myself for having written that Krawchuk played in the Q.Sorry RB, I usually know better and leave the math to you !! Ha ha
By whom?I was told there was going to be no math!
Agree totally. You give us 2 pairs of top tier solid defense men and we could put Ralph in as our goalie and do very well! On second thought, maybe we would need 3 pairs in front of Ralph. On third thought, scratch Ralph.I put our recent goaltending woes squarely on the back of our horrific play in the D zone. We're waiting.....impatiently....Funny that the goalie discussion is coming up today as I believe we have gotten a commitment out of the portal. I am currently working on confirmation before I report it on the blog/twitter
