I got one. Our United Nations (or at least EU) hockey staff pays off. He's probably already committed, but an interesting forward, Filip Sitar, entered the portal from UConn yesterday. He was very highly regarded as an incoming recruit last year but he never got untracked - only getting 3 points on the season. He's from Slovenia but he played in Sweden before going directly to Storrs as an '05 without ever playing in North American juniors (probably a mistake). His track record reads like Dovar Tinling's - talented but entered college too early. The interesting part is that he could be a good test of our United Nations hockey program. His hometown in Slovenia is just across the border from Mattias Lange's Austrian hometown. He played in Sweden against our new transfer recruit, Lindberg, and we also have a coach from a Baltic neighbor, Latvia. Add in our HC from NYC, which has an ethnic enclave for virtually every group imaginable, and we've got things covered from all angles. Good luck coach.
Nice work !I got one. Our United Nations (or at least EU) hockey staff pays off.
correct me if I'm wrong but we should have quite a few flags next year. USA Canada Sweden Latvia Austria Slovenia for the men's side by my count. Then, I believe the women add Germany and Czechia but not sure about any othersTime to get a Slovenian flag.![]()
Ned Harkness would never forgive us if we didn't talk about the lacrosse team.And---- the Lacrosse team has reached the NCAA Quarterfinals next weekend and will face Dickinson Saturday in an attempt to play in the semifinals (probably against highly ranked and regarded RIT. Overall the boys have a record of 16-3!!
Supposedly Denmark also for the women (Bjerkstad). Toet-Uddveg for 2026 is Norway.correct me if I'm wrong but we should have quite a few flags next year. USA Canada Sweden Latvia Austria Slovenia for the men's side by my count. Then, I believe the women add Germany and Czechia but not sure about any others
Dickinson's website indicates that they will play us on RIT's field at 3:00 Saturday. I'm not sure whether all four quarterfinal games will be at RIT or two at RIT and two someplace else.
I don't think there will be any players from Czechia on the women's team since Erbenova graduated and Trnkova transferred to Clarkson.correct me if I'm wrong but we should have quite a few flags next year. USA Canada Sweden Latvia Austria Slovenia for the men's side by my count. Then, I believe the women add Germany and Czechia but not sure about any others
I mean they just got a transfer portal addition yesterdayStill no word on new additions to the team?
Its getting late guys.
A lot depends on how many of Smith's recruits still want to come and which ones Lang wants. A quick back of the envelope assessment says we have 11 forwards, 6 defensemen and 1 goaltender. If we take 4 forwards, 3 defensemen and Krawchuk off the committed list we are pretty much done with the exception of another goaltender. Perhaps one more forward. Hopefully Coach Eric has those spots lined up and we'll hear about them soon. I wonder when the recruit and schedule announcements will come out. It's about time for Ralph to publish his statistical analysis of the last decade or so of our release calendar.Still no word on new additions to the team?
