Let's forget that some people are just unhealthy by default. They can just ****ing die.

Who said anything about dying?

I have a hard time believing that Americans are just this unhealthy because “by default.” Other countries certainly are not.

Yes, there is no doubt some people face health challenges that others don’t. But exercise and diet can always move the dial in a positive way regardless of the hand someone was dealt. Or is that controversial here?

so my question stands. Do we think we will see a trend of more people taking more control over their personal health? Knowing that healthy people have zero statistical issue with this respiratory virus.

I hope so. It would be great to start taking steps to being a healthier country. And lessen the burden that being so unhealthy costs. (Or is this controversial as well?)

I had to go to the Wisconsin Dells (Lake Delton) Home Depot this afternoon so I stopped at Walmart next door for a few groceries. HD was fine--well regulated and nearly everyone was masked. Walmart was friggin scary. People trying to stream through the door, and probably 40% of them were unmasked. Killing season in the Dells. I thought Walmart was imposing some safety requirements, but there were none other than floor markers that I could see.

Fortunately, I rarely set foot in Walmart.

Speaking of Math and Data Science.

“The Minnesota covid model projected that every single hospital bed in the entire state would be filled with covid patients in the midst of a dire situation this week. Thankfully, the $1.5 million peer-reviewed model was well off the mark. How far off? See the tracker below“

I’m sure they would have nailed it if they had another $Mill.

or maybe create another government department.

Under what context was this model made? Dismissing the model out of hand doesn't work if you don't know the conditions it was looking to measure.

Walmart will require masks starting either this weekend or Monday, I’d have to re-read the news blurb. Target and Best Buy has already announced the same, but I think Walmart is initiating their policy prior to Target. More retailers should follow suit.

You can still Ignore people. It's actually better now because you don't even know they are posting, they literally disappear completely.

I'm well aware of how it works and I'm even aware of the new procedure. I'm telling you that when I recently attempted to make a couple additions to my list using said new procedure, it did not register my updates despite indicating it had processed and there were no issues. It is something that has popped up within the last few weeks, probably when they tried to "patch" this sh*tty new version of vBulletin.

Huh, weird. I haven't seen that.

The derps are going to go nuts. Walmart is their second church after the gun store.

How can we see a trend of people taking control of their health when they won't do the easiest thing to do that, which is to wear a mask?

A trend doesn’t have to be every single person.

And a mask doesn’t improve one’s health situation or immune system.

Do you think we will see a trend of people who are choosing to wear masks also choose to improve their health?

You would think yes if it meant increasing your odds of avoiding a disease all together or if you caught it make it more manageable and avoid the long term affects or even disasterous outcomes.

And of course good health means you are less reliant on outcomes that you can’t control. Like other coming in contact with someone who may be sick with Covid19 or another contagious virus.

I would take good health any day of the week over poor health and a mask.

If being wrong once is enough to prove an entire process wrong why the **** is Jeb allowed to still do anything since he has proven over time to be wrong about pretty much everything? (see also: the GOP) Must be all those stats he deals with while sitting at home wishing his other monikers werent banned and blocked.

Difference between smart people and the Jebs of the world...we admit when we make a mistake. They just pretend it never happened then pile on more mistakes because they are so ****ing stupid they cant see straight.

But hey...COVID is under control. The people dying arent dying.

Are you done with that childish rant?

If so what point are you referring to being wrong about?

Good post, really added a lot here.

The distinction is a troll has nothing else to add, he's here to jab and attract attention. 99.9% of the posters here have something good to contribute and FTLT is one of them.

The Dumpies won't wear a mask for their children's health but I bet they'll wear it for the Tide.

Really solid content on this one. Great contribution.

FL updates today's deaths to 156 and we still have 6 hours to go so they may push it again.

And of course that's their suppressed number. God knows what the actuals are. Someday forensics will go back and figure out how many the Nazis killed.

Maybe Kepler is a troll?
