I think it means Ohio has mandatory state rules and Indiana has state rules which can be adopted or overruled by local authorities. I'm reading it as ideally they would be the same but in practice Indiana is weaker because local yokels will water down what restrictions there are.
According to experts interviewed by the IndyStar, local governments can only impose further restrictions on top of the state’s restrictions in the state of Indiana, so, the exact opposite of what you’re saying.

Not the same, sure, but isn't more restrictive better in this case?
31k new cases...good thing its over.
I feel like some states banned local governments from making any changes. Texas might be one.
Dallas County just issued a mask order. Most businesses are on board.

Yes, isn't that what i said? It's what I meant anyway. I want everybody to go back in their f-cking house and clo dee do.
Cases per day for the country as a whole was fairly steady between early May and mid-June. While they have started to trend up, deaths per day have slowly been on the decline since early May. However 1) I don't trust the counts are being accurately reported in several states 2) Death counts will lag 3) It's very likely deaths per day will start to rise in the near future. Hopefully that won't happen.
Best meme I’ve seen in a long time: if you don’t need a mask because God will protect you, then why do you need an assault rifle?
I'm sorry if this is a medically stupid question but could we be getting better at treatment? I realize there is no cure, but could doctors be getting better managing symptoms so they don't develop additional problems that kill them?
Or, could we be getting better at identifying cases earlier, thus getting them into treatment at a relatively safer time?
