Here's the dumb thing. It shouldn't matter. Most neighborhoods go up at similar rates unless you have a spec home. It still somewhat applies across larger areas like cities. Very generally. So if everyone goes up by the same amount, you shouldn't experience a huge hike. The cities just use prices to justify higher taxes.

I don't have a problem with higher taxes. I have a problem with cowardice. Just raise taxes you fucking cowards.
 
Assessment up 9% here, that's an extra $530 tax. Interestingly, our property tax rate went down.

I have seen 20% increases in Phoenix where the market is out of control.

Here's a map for part of MN. Where do the cake-eaters live?

I know that but where on the map? There is no Edina County. You have to understand that I have the comprehension of MN geography that you have of Uzbekistan.

Actually, you appear to have no "E" counties. I sense a conspiracy.

I know about Edina, I've seen Mighty Ducks.

What I don't know is what fucking county it's in.

Edit: it's in Hennepin, where apparently everything in MN with electricity is.

Fun part is I won’t know until November how much my taxes are going up. And I fully assume they’re about to take a good size jump

Also noticed the taxable value happens to Match exactly what Zillow says, which id always heard were inflated

Honestly, I don't know the city-to-county borders very well
 
I got notice in January that mine went up ~$52k (almost double), but I just bought it last year so I expected the reassessment to align with what I paid and I'm not shocked.

My buddy received his statement the other day, lives in Woodbury. His taxable value went up from $338k to $$413k, property taxes up by $1000.

In WSP, my house assessment went up a couple thousand, taxes went up only $86.

WSP and GDO have very similar profiles, though my city is probably worse.

My parents are in a nice area on east side and theirs only went up by a few hundred dollars which seems insane. Eden prairie and Edina got slammed this year- I’ve heard a few conspiracy theories about the boondoggle sw rail line and this being a set up to bend us over to bail that out
