Who built the throne room? Do the Kongs understand the finer points of Gothic architecture. Not a complaint, mind you, this is what I wanted from these movies.

WW has competent

More than competent.

I enjoyed Wanda Vision and Loki more than any of the movies except Iron Man and Captain America, both of which were superb.

I think Phase IV (or whatever it is) may have moved more towards me. It's maturing; the writing is getting better and/or god help me Di$ney is helping.

Oh, the Spidey movie that was animated and had 5 of them was very good, too. I'm not sure if Deadpool counts as MCU but it was great.

The next Deadpool movie will be MCU; the prior movies were made by Fox. But that character is pretty much a side project - mostly a thorn in the side for the X-Men until he eventually joins their hit squad sub-group.

THE SUICIDE SQUAD - A+

James Gunn was absolutely the right choice for this movie. It's basically a re-do of the 2016 film and does everything that the original should have done. Gunn makes you feel something for every character on screen and that's quite an accomplishment given the size of the cast and the amount of screen time some cast members are given.

Also have to give Gunn props to taking full advantage of the R-rating here. Nothing was over the top or obnoxious, but he was able to capture the tone that surrounds group of characters in the source material. That was something that was severely lacking in the 2016 version.

The Suicide Squad - I'd give a strong B, maybe an A-. The first 10-15 minutes made me think it wasn't going to be any better than the original, but it picked up steam and aside from a few hiccups was very good through the end. My enjoyment may or may not have been directly attributed to not having to see Pete Davidson on screen again following the prison flashback scene.

My Lemmy, just based on that scene I need to see that.
Airheads is basically a goofy version of Dog Day Afternoon. Obviously not the greatest film but dang if it isn’t funny. Quotable too, Joe Mantegna’s “he’s a cop” gets me every time.

I loved The Suicide Squad! A+ and thank god they rescued the concept. Let's just all agree those amazing trailers led into this movie, and nothing else happened. Like Highlander 2.

No comments for a while while people see it, but I have much to say.

I really liked it too. For me part of Dastmalchian's charm is being a "that guy" actor, but he continues to elevate his characters and chew up scenes even with his roles becoming larger.
