Just what the doctor ordered.

Boija was great. He should get all the ice time from here on out.

Breen’s first goal since Dartmouth, and B Nadeau’s first since UConn. 13 and 10 games ago respectively.

Cannot have success with 2 of the top 3 scorers going that cold. Hopefully last night was the get right game the UNH weekend regrettably wasn’t. The top line has gotten a ton of help from the other skaters. The NB line needs 1-2 goals a game going forward.

I agree with the good depth convo. I like the NB line, Houle is a tough, well rounded player and needs to be up with Scott. If anything I would drop Freel to the 3rd line and leave Scholle on the 2nd.

Is Trudeau hurt?

After the top 6 forwards/centers, games played:

29 Poisson
26 Hanson
25 Scholle
24 Trudeau
21 Pabich
17 Renwick
15 Niemo
12 Calafiore
8 Lindauer

Three have to sit and it has been Pabich, Trudeau, and tonight one of Lindauer, Niemo, or Calafiore.

Bojia last night was the difference in giving the team the confidence they need...stopping the penalty shot set the tone...imo. They fed off that plus his many highlight saves. Now to Bradley Nadeau, when he skates around handles the puck and does not stick to his usual position on the faceoff dot, teams can't just play a zone on him...he is dangerous all over the ice when he's in the flow....again and still puzzles me how many shots to the head Josh Nadeau takes and no calls...at the end of the game he was crushed and this time you could see he was frustrated about it and no call....maybe he gets the last laugh tonight with a few goals and a helper or two.....he's a gamer thru and thru.

It's beyond absurd how many liberties teams have been able to take with these two.

I'm sure Barr has sent plenty of tape to the league this season and they've done nothing to address it. Guess they need to change their first name to Macklin for Hockey East to care...

Like to know how much Barr is trying. During the last coaches show he talked a fair amount about the officiating. He does talk with Brian Murphy the officials boss to question a few things. He mentioned going over a missed slew foot call against breen during unh game with him.

Hate complaining on Officiating...but after awhile...enough is enough...can't make every call...but the head shots are not being called on Josh Nadeau...I mean it's a every game occurrence...like I said before...hopefully he hammers 2 goals in plus a few helpers....!!

It’s up to the players to protect them not the refs. No way that stuff happens if AJ Begg or Prestin is on the team.

Both of these teams are skating teams, both prefer that game. I don't see any more physicality than last night, no more so than you would expect any game 2 of a weekend series. We may see some limited cheap shots but I dont expect to see a parade to the box. Question is, who gets the start in net for Maine tonight?

NU clearly frustrated last night after getting a penalty shot and stoned on a couple of odd man rushes and a break away. If they go down tonight 2 to 0 again I fully expect them to rough it up.

Bojia was the difference last night you can't sit him

It's obviously Boija. I didn't see the first half-ish of the game, but from following on live stats, seeing what people here said, and hearing Mannix and Co on the broadcast, it sounds like Boija kept Maine in it early and allowed them to settle in and gain confidence.

I think it's likely Ostman gets the Saturday games against Vermont & UMass (senior night). Perfect opportunities to keep him fresh before the Hockey East Playoffs and beyond.

I agree that I expect him to play at UVM, but the games against UMA could be critically important for Hockey East standings by the time they roll around, so if there's something on the line to play for I think you still have to give it to Boija. If there isn't anything on the line seeding wise, then I agree we will see #32 on Senior Night as well.

Hmmm, I actually think he will start Ostie. Here's why.....Boooyaah's confidence has to be sky high right now. If he is less than stellar tonight and they lose, his confidence will erode a little, no? If he starts a motivated Ostie (redemption time for his last outing vs NU) and he plays well then Barr has two confident goalies going into crunch time. Having said this, he will start Booyaah most likely, lol
