Agreed. Breen seems like he has checked out mentally. I think that out of all of the players he has been the biggest disappointment.

Agreed. Breen seems like he has checked out mentally. I think that out of all of the players he has been the biggest disappointment.
I would not give up on him...the numbers are not there,but he's important to the team...penalty kill,faceoffs...not to the degree of last season...but I for one am glad he's on the Maine side.

At the games it can be seen he plays his heart out every game, you can also see his frustration. I feel like he tries to do much in the offensive zone, always looking to set up someone. His line mates should set him up. I feel like he is a better fit with Houle and Freel but Scott maybe not so much with the bros. Surely the coaches are working with him??
Breen will be back next year, hopefully.

Ironically, the only realistic way for Maine to stay in New England for the tournament is to play well enough to remain a #2 seed but not well enough to get a #1 seed. The Bears aren't going to flip the BU comparison and it would take a massive collapse by BC to flip that comparison. Even if Maine wins every game for the rest of the season, the Bears remain behind both teams. However, as a #1 seed the team would be guaranteed a trip to Missouri.
We can reexamine that as soon as the NCAA gives us back our wins from 1991 and Hockey East subsequently lets us put the 1992 banner back up.

Wonder what they would do if Maine manages to win Hockey East...
Do they get rewarded for winning the tournament despite being ranked behind BU/BC and send either of them to the midwest instead?

What if UMass drops out and Maine ends up a 3 seed? Is there a possible scenario that keeps them in the Northeast?

It doesn’t seem to show or link to this supposed footage from different angles showing it go in. Plus that only could have tied it. So not sure how they can claim it would have won the game. Or am I misunderstanding it.

If three Hockey East teams finish as #1 seeds whoever is the lowest gets sent to the cornfield. The only way a 3 or 4 overall seed stays in the East is if a host team (UMass) wins the league.
There are numerous scenarios where Maine stays in the East, but the easiest is to remain a 2-seed opposite BU (2v7, 3v6 etc). If Maine falls to a 3 seed it becomes much easier to move them regardless of attendance as other teams get priority.

I know folks like bracketology but Maine hasn't looked very good lately so I wouldn't assume anything about this team as of right now. Anyone remember how badly Maine fell apart last time they played NU?. Going to be a tough weekend. Lets hope for some home cooking to get these guys going again. Be interesting to see lineup sheet

I know it's an older article but seems weird to write it while also not showing have whatever angle(s) they have.
Not sure if the end zone angle is different from this one that was part of the game broadcast.

I didn't either. Jackson said that a skate lace that tethered the bottle to the net DID move, but I didn't see that either.
I will say that I remember that moment vividly: Snowy flopping around and Tulaire right in his grill. I couldn't have passed a needle.
Doesn't matter. We owned Lake State that year, we won. <g>. Then the next year Lake State demolished BU in embarrassing fashion. We won again. <G>

As for the bottom six, 101 total games played and just 32 points between them this season. Easy to say we need more production from them but when you look at the points it's pretty glaring.

I like the thought of Scholle playing off wing, could set up his shot well. Hopefully Lindauer and Niemo can bring some speed to that line.
