The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Hope our D can hold up the next 2 games. We really miss Pickering who's in Austria with Canada's U18 team at the Worlds which they will win. With Avery away we have only 4 really capable D and 3 younger D who aren't there yet although Ava S has made big strides. We have no new D coming in '24-25 either unless we grab someone off the portal which might make sense...
I am rarely home to watch Colgate's ESPN+ PPV women's and men's games on weekends, but I am tonight.
Does anybody know who the on-air talent is tonight for the Colgate at Cornell WIH game on ESPN+?
Sorry I don't but the guy has been there for a while and I think is fair and knowledgeable unlike some of our women's announcers at Class of '65. Ours were particularly awful earlier this year for the first 3-4 games. Finally they found someone who could pronounce home and away teams names even if he didn't know hockey so they kept him.
Two really good periods followed by a total lack of focus in the 3rd. It started with that sloppy, sloppy short handed goal fiasco and was followed by that stretch of incomprehensible immaturity by someone who has done it before and needs to be reined in and talked to. In a closer game this could have spelled disaster. Maybe understandable from a first year, but a senior, come on.
Grady Whittenburg finally identified himself.
I am not a WIH regular, but this game was as bad as have ever/seen heard (in terms of fair announcing).
Colgate wins. Cornell loses. And, to be honest, it wasn't even close.
The win helped flip the script in the Paiwise, wow. We need the sweep. Congrats on their first W at Lynah in 15 years. Kept Chan off the score sheet lol. Even with half the season over, still much to work on, esp. defense and G. OSU blanks #2 MN 7-0, sheesh. It starts in net and ours is always good but not great.
That was one impressive weekend. It's been 3 games since anyone scored on us and during that stretch we scored 14 goals by many players.'And all without KK who again showed her immaturity and got a game misconduct. Impossible to understand why she would take such a blatant cheap shot especially against a great player like Fillier.
The officiating in this game was absolutely one sided and resembled a band of volunteer officials at a house league game. The call on kk should have been followed by an embellishment/ diving call on Princeton. Colgate prevailed despite the intern officiating.
To be fair, some of our success is due to poor opponent goaltending. Don’t mean to look ahead, but as of now I think the Golden Knights are favored for the Crown.
This Colgate team is so good. Just one line after the next of outstanding players. Same with the D who are strong and fast and are the ice. You are right in that Clarkson looks pretty amazing, too. Just the depth of these two teams is really something
Officiating was bad, but KK has to be aware she has a target in her back and if that game misconduct were to take place against Clarkson or OSU or Wisconsin we'd be out the potential player of the year in the ECAC. Just sayin, stop thinking like Josh Allen and play for the win and forget about the style points. We need you in front of the net the whole game wreaking havoc...
Also we can beat Clarkson team on team unless Pasiechnyk plays out of her mind like last time.
I feel we were overconfident in that game and saved our best effort until too late, but I'm biased!
