Colgate 23-24

Clarkson is undefeated in 18 games, but their schedule is very soft IMO.
9 of Clarkson’s 18 games have been against teams ranked in the top 15 of the most recent USCHO poll. Colgate has played 7 of 16 against the top 15. Yes, Colgate has played OSU. Kudos.

I can only go by the games that I have seen. I have watched each team once, and Clarkson looks tougher, more disciplined.

We will have to wait until the first weekend of Jan to know who is tougher, a far cry from the COVID shortened season where we played each other for what seemed like every game... A great rivalry really starting I would argue with our 2017-18 NCAA finals loss to the Knights in OT. Before then it was a distant second to St Lawrence, since then it's been at another level. A lot of mutual respect...

Colgate has more fire power up front, no doubt, and they are the favorite in a matchup with Clarkson. Clarkson would need to keep scoring down in those games for sure. To poo-poo their schedule to date is just ... eh ... strange I guess. They haven't played a WCHA team, yes. They have played a decent bunch of pretty good teams though. They need to take care of business this weekend before looking ahead to January.

Six of Clarkson’s wins are against Merrimack, RMU, and Syracuse, hence my opinion. Am not basing Colgate’s success/failure/reputation on one series vs OSU. That was the first weekend of hockey for both teams. Colgate did not play well IMO but got the split. Their series vs UMD was underwhelming. I think Colgate is vulnerable on any given weekend. Their series vs formidable Clarkson is a toss-up, home or away.

Heartiest congratulations to Ally Simpson for making the US team for the next 2 games of the Rivalry Series and finally getting the recognition due her. She's been a rock from day 1 and has given us 5 great years as one of 'Gates best ever blue liners.

Can’t believe Colgate players from various teams are staying for a 5th year…at Colgate?! Sorry Katie Chan bolted and that any player is dissatisfied (?) with their Colgate experience…especially when it turns them to our nemesis. Congrats to Simpson!

NCAA Women's Ice Hockey (WIH) PairWise Rankings (PWR) as of 11 p.m. on December 2, 2023...

December 3, 2023, schedule...

#6 Minnesota Duluth at #3 Wisconsin.

I am feeling withdrawal not watching this great team for weeks to come. Can’t wait to see them play in Pittsburgh! My best wishes to all posters for a wonderful holiday. And, as always, Go ‘gate!!

Kudos to Kayle Osborne for having been added to the Canadian Rivalry series roster for the Dec games. She's having a great year and deserves it.

ESPN+ or are you going to Pittsburgh ? Happy Holidays CU13 !

Danielle's best game yet on the National team. For the first time I felt like she played like she belonged and had a big role to fill. Confidence is key. Hopefully we see more of that on Saturday.
She just has to keep doing what she's great at...dishing and shooting, but no easy task at that level.
