There you've described 99% of Americans politically, both sides.

You can hope, but no, there are a good number of people who do things. My wife does things. And the more the Nazis advance into our lives, the more people will do things.

You cannot win this. A minority of zealots cannot crush a nation just by the strength of their ignorance, even with the Court.

This will not end well for you.

You're just defined what gets conservatives into action.

The GOP is the intrusive radicals, now, so as a "conservative" you ought to be fighting them. The Dems said, "don't want an abortion? Great, don't have one." But nope, the GOP had to ram their prehistoric superstition down EVERYONE'S throats. "You must do what we say for your own good!!!"

Talk about a Mommy State.

Oh fuck off already. The only thing that motivates the right in this country is stigginit to the libs. Everything else, and I mean everything, is negotiable in service of that goal. There's no overarching policy among the average MAGA voter that drives them; they'd vote for 100% taxation and forced sex with a turtle if they thought it'd piss off the liberals enough to do so.

I've had to.
I had to tell a friend who was in the ND Legislature that one of his issues is a bridge too far for me.

I got the same reaction I get here.

The reaction you are getting here is: we think you're lying, either to us or more likely to yourself.

If your representative was R I'm sure his reaction was to look up your net worth and then cancel you.

This language: " ... any man alleged by that woman to be the biological father of that child, or any man presumed by law or judicially determined to be the biological father of that child" got into his bill.

In today's world (of DNA testing) an allegation ain't good enough, especially in light of how the sentence ends (admitting there are better standards than 'alleged'). A false allegation wrecked a relative's life, destroyed his privacy, so I was not impressed.

I had no idea why it was in there, or why he put it there, but it's wrong, and I told him so. We've talked once since.
