I rarely read this thread, but I just want to ask a question that I think I know the answer to.

With this recent election, a lot of the r party have "turned" on dumpy, right? They make a really big deal about it.

But at the same time, I've seen zero change in actual policy. We will have a Speaker that basically carries on the exact same stuff that was prior to dumpy- making up reasons to investigate Democrats, or their relatives- over some random thing that they make up as real. Mind you, the whole thing with Clinton lead to nothing, and even better, the made up sex trafficking that lead to an armed dude in a pizza place happened way before dumpy came along.

So is that correct? They are abandoning dumpy as a person, but are carrying on the same old BS stuff that lead us to even getting dumpy as a president. Exactly nothing has changed other than pretending that popping the zit that was dumpy actually removes the cancer. The end goal is always to make rich people richer at the expense of everyone else.

I'll keep an eye on this discussion for a few days, but it would be nice for the press to call them out on the total lack of actual change. They still worship guns and they still encourage hate, and I doubt any of them will call out the people like Bobert who encourage this recent shooting. (Gabby Gifford was shot before dumpy, and for fear and hate- remember Palin having scope crosshairs on Democrats? duh)

BTW, I was recently reminded of a great song from the late 80's- Living Color's Cult of Personality. The words exactly (and I mean EXACTLY) describe dumpy and everything the work toward. Great song.

Even if they " turn on him", they'd probably have a dozen candidates like 2015-16 (DeSantis, Pence, Pompeo, Haley, Youngkin, Noem, Hogan, etc.) and Trump will repeat getting 35% and winning their winner take all primaries. They'd have to sit down and pick one to take Trump head on, and well, good luck with that.

To me, "turn on him" means no actual change in real policy. Nothing is changing that resulted in getting that moron elected in 2016- every one of those people want the same thing, and their means of getting it is the same- make people afraid of every single thing in life to vote for them. And in doing that, it results in people getting killed. From people needlessly dying from COVID to LGBTQ people getting slaughtered in clubs- it's the same message and the same result.

None of them are actual conservatives. Still.

None of them will ever change until the money spigot gets turned off. And the chances of that happening are nil and none.

Exactly. No one outside of the 35% in 2016 wanted him, but they did a shit job of fighting him off and then bent over for him when things became inevitable. Now he still has the 35%; so how are things supposed to be different this time?

Exactly what happened in 2016. Agreed, the only way out is a massive under the table payoff, on the order of billions plus of course a first day blanket pardon for Dump for everything he ever did.

So wait, isn't it easy to call up the official and ask, "Why did you assess a misconduct?"
If he says it's because he heard a slur, then the big ten has no choice but to act here.

OSU weighed in to say
"The Ohio State Department of Athletics and the menâ??s hockey program worked collaboratively with the Big Ten Conference to come to a resolution in response to the allegation of misconduct toward the Big Ten sportsmanship policy.

“Indisputable evidence” when a game misconduct was issued and a misconduct report was likely filed? Way to throw your referees under the bus. I’d be fucking furious.
