All that said, the SS part is not the central part of her testimony. The knowing the protestors were armed and wanting to keep them armed while he wanted to lead them to the Capitol is the central part. Also the knowing they had weapons and wanted to kill Pence and then sending a tweet saying Pence was the one to blame is also central. A couple battery attempts are loose change compared to those. (Also she was present for the former two and has a direct eyewitness account; the latter she heard secondhand.)

You knew since she was a young woman she was going to get attacked. The main line of attack is Trump attacking the Secret Service Agent. My guess is the Secret Service doesn't want anyone to know any of that stuff even if it did happen because of the sensitivity of their jobs, protecting all the President's past, present, and future.

It's a cover our ass thing.

What can they do? As long as Manchin and Sinema are nos on the filibuster Congressional Action is a nonstarter. We know they won't shift so why waste time arguing over what will amount to nothing?

It's up to the voters...if they want Abortion Rights on the books they need to add 2 seats in the Senate and hold The House. Short of that the Dems got nothing.

Not related to you but I love all the people whining about this who either refuse to vote or vote third party without a hint of irony.

It's exactly the same as with Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford. These women will all receive death threats from the Trumptards until the day they die. They are exceptionally brave, but their characters will be assassinated by the derps, if their lives somehow escape it.

Don't, this is being pushed as a way to weaken the unity of the Left and Center coalition. Just like when Sanders ran, we are going to see a huge uptick in the number of "allies" who are "concerned" about marginalized groups being betrayed by the Democratic party. They are trying to run down the Dem vote, period, full stop.

Insofar as the Left abets this with its rhetoric, they're wrong. Insofar as the Center takes the bait and starts railing against the Left the way it always does in its tiresome entitlement, they're wrong. We are fighting Nazis for life on Earth. Before opening our yap we need to ask ourselves three questions:

1. Is it true?
2. Does it matter?
3. Will it help?

And if it doesn't pass all three tests, we have to S T F U, organize, and unify.

There's no way the committee called this special hearing without confirming evidence of what she had to say. Apparently, they've already intervied Ornodo

I agree with the statement because our leadership is decrepit, beholden to the old ways. I don’t care who said it.

You also told me a month ago to be nicer to drew, that wasn’t the way so I’ll keep my opinion on this

**Fact: A lot of it is technically our government's fault for failing them on several fronts. However our government is controlled by the wealthy who have successfully convinced the fascists that they are independent bootstrappers getting a screw job and all government is an evil swamp that must be drained, so here we are.
