If Trump ends up in jail because of listening to non-lawyer Tom Fitten, it'll be the best thing Judicial Watch has ever done

Yeah I might donate to them if that is the case. BTW that was a rumor when this whole thing started and people didn't want to believe it because no one is that stupid.

Based on the fact that most of his close staff were the ones trying to talk him out of it it is almost a guarantee that the early stories were leaked by his staff.

I can't believe Tom Fitton would give bad advice. Every picture I have ever seen of him makes me assume he is an expert legal mind.

Of note, if you have a subscription to The Athletic you might want to cancel that as well as NYT owns The Athletic.

Thanks for that heads up. I've been on the fence about canceling it but every time I think about doing it, I find one article from a writer I support that actually was a good read. And then I forget to cancel.

Overall though, I should probably just put my Athletic subscription to better use and subscribe to WaPo.

The Athletic is mediocre...
I’d gone back and forth on getting a subscription but when their MLS writers admitted to some shady collusion/reporting last year I’ve been steadfastly against them. Being owned by the NYT makes easier not to.

As usual with Donnie, lots of big talk and promises, no follow through.

He promised food for all of his adoring throng at the Cuban restaurant he appeared at after his indictment. And then left, and they got nothing.

Pretty much the Trump story.

They got something, the bill for the food they thought trump was going to pay for, sucker born every second.

And they'll still find a way to blame Hunter's laptop, Obama, Hillary, Antifa, Disney and/or the green M&M instead of their cult leader.

Help me convince my wife to kill NYT. It's the only reason I still have it.

My Mom is beyond hope; the paper copies just pile up in the house like in Hoarders, and the bill is astronomical.

WaPo is a lesser evil. The quality is still there, they don't seem to give trump the ball wash every time he's mentioned. Sure, you lose The Crossword, but I believe the cost overall is less. I think you can renew for well under a hundred a year.

The writing standards and style are also infinitely less annoying.
