Which it will, because of senate being on recess until the 19th. Even if recalled, the senate is in pro forma, which takes *unanimous* decision to take up new business until the 19th. Obviously Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and friends would vote no.

Ha! I remember getting into that with a poster here some years back. He said it was unacceptable that Obama would not even acknowledge a LEO death in his daily remarks sometimes. I painstakingly researched daily statements made by George W. Bush after 4 cops were killed in and around South Bend in 3 separate incidents from 2003 to 2007. Not once did Bush mention ANY of them in any way shape or form. The 2003 incident came on the same day that Saddam Hussein was captured in his spider hole so he had bigger news to remark on but the other 2 incidents also came and went without a peep from Bush. I was shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, to find that someone on the right could be so hypocritical.

trump (or others) planned this. I wonder which senators and representatives are in on it with him. Some of the ones who voted for treason on Wednesday were simply dupes brought along for show, but some of them knew what was being planned and what some of this mob was trying. Imagine going back into the House or Senate chamber knowing that some of the people sitting on the other side are not just members of the opposition party, but actual enemies to the country. I hope the members of congress who are not traitors are bound and determined to get to the truth.

Started watching Band of Brothers again a week or so ago. Tonight I got to episode 9. (Why We Fight)

I feel like I should have skipped it with seeing these deplorables with Camp Auschwitz and 6MWE shirts just a few days ago, but at the same time I'm glad I didn't. This white-hot rage I'm feeling is supposed to be there.

This has only become clear to me in the last few days: the pandemic, and Trump’s apathetic Covid “response” absolutely boosted his vote far above the 20-point landslide loss he would have experienced without it. The shutdowns and “economic tyranny” galvanized people who were still going to vote for a de-regulating muttonhead, and they were screaming about the end-times level importance of voting MAGA to every abused child and spouse, weary coworker, and put-upon store clerk all year. It was the hard and stubborn work of the sane people that may have saved what’s left of our country. Thank you.
