Ok, here are our better ideas:

End the filibuster
Pack the court
Make PR and DC states
Pass the John Lewis voting rights act
Expand the House to 1000 seats

After all, if the Dems win the Senate and the WH in 6 weeks, those must be things the people want.
 
If we lose in November then none of it matters anyways. There is no going back and the Dems as a Party will be pretty much a waste of space. If this is still not enough to get Liberals and everyone else to get rid of the Trumpers then nothing short of a national catastrophe will save us from the brink.

I dont much care about packing the Court and I dont really have a dog in the fight about adding states (though I fully support it if they want to join) I am about what is the step back to normality. It is bad enough Trump is an epic disaster in general but if killing health care, womens rights, voters rights, Racial injustice, a failed Pandemic and now prison raping the SC without lube isnt enough to win then the country is lost and too far gone to save.

That isnt hyperbole, there is ample evidence throughout history of Republics and Democracies getting to this very point. November 3rd is the Rubicon...the question is are we going to stop the Caesar Word Salad.

I have actually suggested this in the past. We have the education, the skills, and the money. We are far more mobile. We do work that can be remote.

We could put one million liberals in each of the dumbf-ck states and flip those Members and Senators to our own. The native red staters can clean our pools and be our disposable mistresses until they wear out at 23. Some of them are cute, even if they can't tell time.

Lady G is doing it for the same reasons as Mitch et al: (1) they are terrified of the mouthbreeder Republican voters, (2) they are well-paid by the Plutes, Russians, Saudis, and one-offs like Mitch's Chinese, and (3) they like the idea of a Taliban religious nut on the Supreme Court who will support theocracy and feudalism (for the Poors; they themselves will be Elders of Gideon and exempt).

And a 6-3 majority is something they all have been working on since 1980. The Republicans since Reagan have only been about accumulating power, and money. They don't care about anything else. They never have.

This nomination will sail through. I'm pretty confident about the Democrats taking power this November but with a 6-3 Court on their side and everything the Democrats do being reported as Overreach by their own liberal media the next 2 years I fear what happens in 2022. If the flip trend continues and the Republicans take power again this November won't matter that much. They're Lucy and the Dems are Charlie Brown. They always have the football.

Rural/agrarian slave states = "Flyover" by any other name in the 1790s.

Madison, a southerner, originally argued that the POTUS should be elected by popular vote but realized that wouldn't fly in the slave states, where there were fewer eligible (white, male, Christian, property owners over age 21 or so) voters. Having electors tied to the number of Congressional reps gave the South more say due to the Three-Fifths Compromise.

EC was also created because Hamilton did not trust the common voter to avoid falling for a con man. And oh how right he was to worry; too bad his alternative system ultimately failed us. Thus why an overhaul of our electoral process is needed.

And also, they apparently have fallen into history. They controlled the Senate at the key time Obama got a nomination so they could block it. Apparently opposite parties do not confirm. They controlled the Senate for ALL OF TRUMP's nominee's, so they get to sail through.

Electing Donald J. Trump is the singular worst disaster that has ever happened to the Republic. If we have a Republic left after this disaster we'll all need to consider ourselves lucky. If he gets reelected OR the Senate stays in Republican Control I seriously doubt the Republic survives.

And if Biden wins and the Senate flips and the media follows it's pattern of reporting overreach from the Democrats on every single thing they do while they are in power, I doubt the Republic survives. Cause it will flip back. And when it does QAnon will then be fully in charge.
