AFP is reporting that Hamas is going to start broadcasting executions of Israeli prisoners

If there's a good way to galvanize resistance against your movement, I'll say killing civilians on TV might be the most effective and speedy way to that end.

It’s like they want a nuclear war

I guess they have something in common with pence and the far right

Ali Velshi posted the statement from Hamas:
Hamas’ Qassam Brigade announces: “Every targeting of our people who are safe in their homes without warning, we will regretfully meet with the execution of one of our enemy’s civilian hostages, and we will broadcast this, under duress, in audio and video

Well that's not ideal, is it.

This is yet another situation where two evil parties - Hamas and the Israeli government - are brutalizing each others' innocents. Neither has anything approaching a moral high ground. Further killing does nothing but lead to further killing.

This sucks.

Bibi with an announcement live in 30 minutes. Possibly 1:30 central? Not sure how long ago that announcement was made.

Let Netan-yayhoo and Hamas torch the whole region then, because that's the only way this ends now.

I think so. This is going to very quickly spread. Best we can do is either try to contain the spread by working the phones with KSA, Jordan, and Egypt; or...

I don't think she's completely wrong there. The problem is the folks on the other side aren't saints either.
I don’t think it’s completely wrong either. The amount of leftists that automatically go anti-Israel no matter what is way too high.

Well that's not going to look good on his record...

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorists, but I've wondered since day one whether Bibi knew and was purposely ignoring it. Kind of like the theories we knew about Pearl Harbor, and let it happen in order to get the public behind entering WWII. Bibi, in the long run, can now try to implement even more right wing abusive policies. At least he thinks that. I think the Israelis will hold him accountable, based on passed history, like the one example I mentioned.

I agree. I think we have a both sides problem here and always have. But, what Palestinians have done through all these years is not take yes for an answer just like Republicans in the United States. Good deals have been on the table throughout the years. Too many people don't want to compromise just so they can have something to bitch about. That's not the way to move forward, and that's not a way forward for humanity.

Entirely probable and possible.

No. The amount of lefties who correctly recognize that this is the fault of both parties acting like "all or nothing" aggressors and rejecting solution after solution is perfectly reasonable.

You need to get out more because there’s plenty of “stand with Palestine no matter what” idiots out there.

I would agree though, there’s plenty of blame to go around in this situation (but really it’s the British and the French).
