I saw a hilarious poll which said if they called a snap election today Labour would pick up 350 seats.

Yes, this has been reported out by other outlets before the Zelensky accusation. Russia was going to blow the dam, then accuse Ukraine of doing it. The other intent is to make the portions of Ukraine liberated from Russia an economic and health nightmare to push the Ukrainian government's negatives up. Sound familiar? It is exactly the strategy the GOP uses to weaken our democratic institutions and cause misery which they then blame on the Dems. They are also torturing and slaughtering civilians as an object lesson in the price of resistance. Russia, not the GOP, though give them time.

In a word, Putin is the Right. This is what those cowardly sociopaths do wherever they take power and it is why we have to banish the Right from the acceptable political spectrum. Criminals have no place in a justice system, and saboteurs have no place in governance. End the Right, permanently. Make the world safe for humans.

Why in the world would they need to torture anyone there??? Has there been some sneaky terrorist attacks nobody knows about?

seems like they do it for fun. When I see stuff like that, I just hope Russia implodes.

Why did we "need" to? The only point of torture is the brutality, it has no other value. It is the natural way in which the Right satisfies its cowardice and viciousness.
 
This has been Putin/Russia's MO. If things don't go well militarily, brutalize the populace until it gives up. See Chechnya, Syria, etc. But this time it's happening to white people and, importantly, white people with internet connections.
