I don’t buy the Russia can’t bury the Ukraine
talk. I truly believe there is more up Putins sleeve then the current display of inaptitude. Why isn’t he filling the skies over Ukraine with his bombers and fighters if he quickly wants to destroy the country? His ground forces and Air Force are still mostly in Russia.
The talk of him being out maneuvered scares me, as I think there is more to this then bad military strategy. He’s evil, expect an evil surprise….NATO better have both eyes wide open. I smell a rope-a-dope.

Russia isn't carpet bombing Ukraine into oblivion because Putin doesn't have the option. He can't go full 'Syria' on Ukraine because the Russian populace won't stand for it. Despite his iron grasp on the country, turning Ukraine into a full-on slaughterhouse will get him removed. Russians don't want to be killing Ukrainians. Many Russians have relatives in Ukraine. They're cousin Slavs. They've a shared history going back since forever.
This is exactly why Putin sold this thing as a limited operation. And it's what the propaganda on the Russian homefront is still pushing; i.e. they're fighting the Nazi elements in Ukraine.
He was selling the same lies to his own people that he was the West. But the truth will eventually seep out. It already is with younger generation internet users.

Putin's own arrogance has put him between a rock and a hardplace. He needs to escalate to achieve whatever objective he wanted, but he can't afford to turn Kyiv into Aleppo. He'll need to exert serious force without overreaching.

This is why maybe a false flag attack on the homefront isn't out of the question, if things do not go Russia's way in the next few weeks.

The Qtards that said the US should stay out of the Ukraine situation (which I mostly agree with) now want the US to bomb Iran back into the stone age, ignoring that such an act would likely give Putin the green light he's waiting for to do the same in Ukraine.

They also don't have the unmitigated air superiority they enjoyed in Syria.

Early in this conflict there were multiple stories about large Russian planes being shot down (IL-76s, possibly some Backfire bombers). Those stories have died down, because Russia can't afford to lose too many of those. Until they're able to eliminate the Ukrainian air force (unlikely) or clear out pathways of ground-based AAA (they never will), it's too dangerous to fly the bombers. I think this is always why they've been using cruise missiles a lot more, but they have only so many of those at their disposal.

Russia asks China for military assistance in its invasion of Ukraine.

Editors everywhere scrambling to look up the spelling of "Molotov-Ribbentrop."

Andrew Mok, from Xi mouthpiece Center for China and Globalization (CCG), on AJ:

"The US is undependable and sociopathic, because every 4 years there may be a 180 degree policy change."

A dictator is a hero in his own movie.

Well, he's not far from the truth, is he?

I would still think they have a heck of lot, wouldn't they?

At roughly $2M per copy, I doubt they have too many thousands around. 1000 lb payload only has a blast radius of a hundred feet or so, so you’ll only take out 6-8 houses at a time. That’s an awfully expensive way to level a city.

Occupy. It's good practice.

Kyiv goes under 35-hour curfew. The Ruspublicans have encircled and are awaiting resupply before they launch the coup de grace. NGOs estimate 2.8 of the 4 million got out in time.

We should be taking notes. ARAB.

Russians now shelling Metro stations. No military value; just where the civilian shelters are.

Iraq must have been like this. Find all the Harkonnen the world over and shoot them into the Sun.

Ukraine’s military intelligence: Russia plans mass logging of Ukrainian forests. According to a document published by Ukraine's military intelligence, the wood would be sold, and the money would go for the Russian army.

Undertrained soldiers with heavy clear cutting machinery doing double duty as untrained lumberjacks while being hunted by angry Ukranians. I can see no way in this can backfire.

Supposedly, that Russian warship, the subject of the "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" incident, has been destroyed by Ukrainian forces.
