Grand Unified Election Thread 2: What is the difference between Biden and Dump?

That black cop deserves a medal.

Watch the replay of the video and the pictures. He’s by himself, he looks down the hallway towards the floor entrance of the Senate and notices it’s unguarded. He then he starts pushing the guy leading the pack and has them run down the hallway after him, leading them away from the entrance to the floor of the senate.

That was a life or death decision for that man. “Do I risk my life by leading this pack of rabid, white racists away from the senate?” He didn’t even hesitate.

The man is a hero.

100%. Meanwhile his lily white boss resigned and gets to use his 440 hours of sick leave to get paid. He is getting paid for allowing the Capitol to be ransacked. Fcuk him my taxes arent to be used for that. He should be investigated. Apparently this wasnt very surprising.

Question for those who might know more, how do the Capitol Police rank against other area law-enforcement agencies in what they usually deal with? That meaning, if I had to guess I would assume they are not dealing with the usual crime and violence that a DC cop on the beat would see, or anything that the NG is usually called out for. I would imagine it's more about keeping people out of restricted areas and the like. I'm asking because if my assumptions are in the ballpark that makes it all the more ridiculous that they were left to face the brunt of what everyone knew was coming when local police and NG would have been much better experienced and trained and also helped with numbers.

McConnel may have had a great speech, but it was 4 years late. None of this came at any surprise- dumpy projected this behavior back in 2016, and his worshipers were ready to go to war back then. Had he lost, this would have happened back then. Secretary Clinton pointed that out, the news pointed that out, this board pointed that out.

McConnel ignored that so that he could have power. He then ignored the clear problem with Russia and vladdy, he ignored the clear violations with dumpy's companies, he ignored the security risk, and he VERY ignored the racists reply from Charlottesville. This was long time coming, and was fully supported by McConnel and the entire racist party for 4 years.

The fact that it took an assault on the capitol building to actually change his public tone just shows the kind of coward he is. Just as are the rest of the racist party.

The racists actually do need a revolution in their party. The greedy people have been using the actual racists to line their pockets for 30 years now. Few have actual regret, too. I'm ashamed that Steve Ross's name are still on buildings here at Michigan, as all of that greed and money has been on the backs of fooling actual racists to elect other greedy people to cut taxes and reduce protections that help real people.

Drew- these people have used YOU for the same reasons. The gun support rallying cry just vilified Democrats at every single turn. The end result is that you voted for them consistently up until now. And they got their tax cuts at the expense of you- smart gun regulations would have reduced mass murders, but instead there's far more support to abolish the 2nd thanks to how mass shootings as well as the armed assault on the capitol building. Your support of them may end your ability to own arms.

Anti abortionists are the same- I don't see the rich caring at all about abortion. But it's an easy rallying cry to get people to vote for their power. They then pass things that will clearly be shot down by judges, including conservative ones- and then decry that as being evil. Just to get more people angry and more voters for them.

The big difference between guns and abortion- there's money to be made selling guns.

McConnel is a coward. We've known that for way longer than 4 years now, and his speech just emphasizes that.

This is all true. 100% on the money.

zero percent chance that sticks.

I don’t think people are going to forget. One of those two in particular will be real interesting and I’ll be watching like a hawk

i find it esp pathetic when ones like 3M won’t even comment

Wow, Kellyanne Conway says something I can agree with when she tweeted "Don't avert your eyes & don't excuse this. The more we see & learn, the worse it is." New accounts and videos keep rolling in on the events at and around the Capitol building and the assault looks even more violent with each passing day.

I'd like to remind everyone too that now is the time to be communicating with your representatives and senators. Contact the Speaker and the Senate majority and minority leaders as well. Even if you think they are lost causes (one of my senators is Ron Johnson, a lost cause if ever there was one) or if they are fighting the good fight, they need to hear from us. And hear from us loudly. Demand of them to act boldly. Remind them how history is likely to see them. Or in the case of people like Ron Johnson encourage them to resign or step into traffic, dealers choice.

From what I have read there was no way they were trained well enough to handle this and they dont seem to have the numbers. That is why in the BLM protests DC Metro, ICE, prison guards and other federal and state agencies were there. (long before they started) Shockingly, even though every person with high speed internet seemed to know what was going to happen the people making the decisions seemed to be caught off guard. They (along with the Pentagon) took advantage of the loopholes in the system (how help is requested, who can request...etc) to slow play this out.

That is why they werent in riot gear. (this summer everyone was in riot gear before anything started) Many didnt have gas masks. They for all intents and purposes were glorified security guards.

I think they will. People are already starting to which is why the "covert Antifa" crap is spreading. It is why you wont see Cruz and Hawley resign, why the GOP is trying to white wash it away with calls for healing and will pretend none of this happened in 2 years. Marriott will go back to donating money to insurrectionists by the Midterms because most people won't care as long as they get a nice rate on a room and they know it. (see also: all the fake boycotts of Faux advertisers)

Target will pretend at some point and never actually do it. It will be like when they were caught giving money to Anti-LGBTQ pols. 3M are just cowards. The problem is many of the same Senators and Reps that fomenting sedition are the same ones who get these companies tax breaks and look the other way when they do something wrong. These corporations (all of whom do great things dont get me wrong) arent people. They dont have a soul or a conscience so sooner or later the bottom line will always win. As long as they arent risking financial ruin they wont give a crap in the long run.

Everyone who represents me is a Dem...one of them helped write the Articles. No need to pressure them they are 100% on board. Instead I spend my time going after the MNGOP for being traitors!

Same.

Oh, I also set aside roughly 30 minutes a week to troll Sorbo. That's just good fun.

At the end of the day someone gave the orders for them to show up on January 6th and treat it like it was almost any other day. Those people are the ones who are complicit in the insurrection. The Capitol Police are actually generally well trained law enforcement, or at least as well trained as and state or local cops. Their training consists more on handling VIPs and terrorism protocols than perhaps Andy and Barney get in Mayberry NC but nowadays all cops are getting trained more in military tactics than they did 50 years ago. Point being, the U.S. Capitol police, with perhaps logistical assistance from Metro D.C. or even the D.C. Guard SHOULD have been prepared and equipped to handle things on Wednesday. As usual the front line people were expendable, and one paid with his life. Firing squads would be too kind if we could ever identify which members of the hierarchy were complicit.

And we need Benghazi level hearings to get to the bottom of, why was security so lax, who made the decisions on this, and was there pressure from, or collusion with elected officials and other members of government to weaken that security.

Also, who among our elected officials and other members of government may have been communicating with, or otherwise spurring these radicals on.

Your problem is you write like you are still in Academia. Too many words with a rather passive feel. It feels more theoretical than it should. You need to change the voice of your writing to be closer to commentary. We aren't writing a thesis on what should have been done to the South here we are talking about how to deal with traitors in real time. The message you are conveying is being undercut by the words you use.

I try to be accurate but direct. I'm not writing like Heidegger but I'm not writing Short Attention Theatre either. No likey, no read-ey.

Some really unbelievable comments from Pat Toomey on CNN today. Thinks him and 75 million other people made the right choice picking Trump in the election because of the radical left and that Trump is right on most issues.

Yeah, that closing was a whopper. Until then he was just a coward but the closing, when My Boo had no opportunity to pursue, was drip slime right out of the Rubio or DeWine playbook.

RoJo is in a nut vise. Every phone call, email, letter, telegram, and smoke signal he gets tightens it. He is so far up the creek he's going to need orienteering gear just to find his office.

Saying they will all forget and nothing changes won’t lead to action. We need to keep our feet on their necks. Publicizing this (which others will continue to do) helps keep it in memory and if people start shifting, it does hurt them financially . Clearly ones like Comcast are harder, but if we do nothing, nothing changes

****it I always forget about him. I get such joy insulting Jennifer Carnahan and Paul Gazelka it just slips my mind!

I always forget what old, fat bloated white state repub that Jennifer is married to
