I’m now busy making spike proteins.

So far no side effects, other than the injection site is slightly sore to the touch this morning.

I wasn't expecting much for the first dose. The immunological response to the spike proteins should be significant for the second dose and more people are reporting temporary side effects like muscle aches, fever, chills, fatigue at that point.

Tucker and Hannity will be sure to highlight the death count of every day of the Biden administration.

I won't be watching the Nazi networks anymore. There is no reason to engage with the Right.

You don't ask criminals what their opinion of law enforcement is. They're aren't a stakeholder, they're the subject matter.

Is that to be safe or is there really a record of people falling ill the next day?

I think enough (probably not a majority, but enough to be an issue) are having a fairly robust reaction to the 2nd dose. A coworker's brother said it was pretty awful. He had basically full-blown flu-like symptoms the next day.

One of the Qberts I have to be around said today, "hey what about the 6000 deaths yesterday?" and I said, that's not true, and he's like, oh yeah it is.

When I went on to say that at least the new administration would be competent, and actually have a system to distribute the vaccine, he then said, without a hint of irony, "vaccine for what?"

You probably wanted to reply, "Yes I'm aware they don't have a vaccine for stupidity".

Thanks.

Dr. Mrs. is about to get #1.

No surprise.

As they were settling into the White House on Wednesday, Biden administration officials were reportedly stunned to discover that President Joe Biden’s predecessor didn’t have a plan with regards to distributing the COVID-19 vaccine.

A source told CNN on Thursday morning that the new administration will “have to build everything from scratch” thanks to former President Donald Trump’s reported lack of strategy with the vaccine rollout.

“There is nothing for us to rework,” they said.

Biden will have to start from “square one,” said another source, who called Trump’s nonexistent distribution plan “just further affirmation of complete incompetence.”

Notified by my hospital today that patients (or those who sign up for the notification process) over the age of 65 will now begin receiving invitations to schedule covid vaccination. They will contact people in order of age, I assume with the oldest getting first notification.

We'll see whether their supply will allow them to keep the process moving along.

Biden appointing a fed official to each state to help manage vaccine rollout.

competence and leadership. Feels good

Its almost like there is a purpose behind having a Federal Government...

No, you need to pit the states against each other, to see which of them comes up with the most innovative, cost-effective solutions.

You know, you could make a reality tv show about it, call it something likes States Apprentice, or some such shit. The winner is the one whose citizens don't die.

A decent amount. The strategy is to be sure you do not have whole departments/services unavailable at the same time. It is easier to just say to do it before a day off.

Oddly enough, I felt pretty rough after #1 and OK after #2 (I was expecting much worse).

Also nice to walk though my VA today and see Biden's picture was up....

This happened to my sister after dose 1, so she's kind of dreading #2.

Does everyone at the Lab get one?

Does everyone at the Lab get one?

Not yet. The state is only classifying people that are involved with covid testing or research or those that come in direct contact with those people as high priority right now, and the lab hasn’t been allocated doses yet.

I didn’t get mine through the lab (I work from home, and won’t be classified as an essential worker). I got it through the MDI hospital because I’m a volunteer first responder in the national park.
