Apparently the Wisco SC just annihilated another Dump coup attempt. I haven't followed this one closely so I leave it to the cheeseheads or goiternecks or whatever to 'splain it.

Our unit (not the University, CERTAINLY not humanities) has a “first name only” tradition for all faculty & staff which I enjoy. Everyone who comes here has picked it up very naturally.

She certainly has a point about the Democratic Party. Too many times, we (as a party) play lip service to minorities, but rarely do anything REALLY significant. Or sign crap that makes their lives worse (war on crime bills that Clinton was part of). We would be a richer state if their voices were really heard and we all recognize how crappy we, as a society, have made their lives.

Right now, my big thing is to end localized property tax based school funding. Where the high value areas have better school funding. This is just more of a legacy of red lining- keeping schooling down so that upward mobility is that much harder.

DeVoss is a POS in that arena, touting this whole "school of choice"- which only works if you have the means to choose. And has lead to massive, legal, segregation in Michigan.

Back to the point of her message, when the only thing you have for your self esteem is the color of your skin, well.... you've got some problems. When you follow the guy stealing from you because of that, the problems are magnified, as you've now made yourself a grift target on top of being used.
 
I guess most of my professors were weird cause they always put "Dr." in emails. (my coworker who just finished her doctorate does that as well) The only one who overtly asked to be called "Dr." though was from Africa.

What field?

It's common in the sciences. In the humanities it's death.
 
The African was teaching Philosophy. (not sure what his Doctorate was in...he was a friggin genius though) In college it would have been people in a wide range of fields...grad school I am pretty sure the Micro and Macro Econ teacher had Dr. in her name as did a few others.
 
Man Q is good...he now has the Parler Nuts convinced the Supreme Court was never going to be the place they won...it was always about military intervention! It is pretty amazing how easily Q gets people to forget what he said and how wrong he was...every time he says something contradictory they just wipe their memories and start over.

The Parler Nuts are also starting to turn on the cops because the cops aren't helping with the coup.

I’ve only seen it a few times at my company. If you’re at director or above you tend to see a LOT more Dr. The people I work with who have PhDs don’t tend to use Dr.
 
In the Minnesota State - Mankato music department the PhDs tended to have “Dr.” in their name, while the DMAs usually went with “Prof.”

Once the cult is far enough along the details aren’t as important. Even if people are starting to jump ship, it’s large enough to not collapse immediately.

Now they are hanging their hats on Congressional challenges to electors. I think they forget they don't control The House so their challenges die. A slate is only denied if majorities in both houses agree.

But hey why shouldnt Congress grind to a halt to appease a Loser in Chief? It isnt like there is anything going in the country...

Before it even gets that far, a Senator has to join a Rep, which they never did in 2000 or 2016. Though I fully expect Cruz/Graham/Lee or one of the other little Murray-esque bitches to join this time.

My money is still on Ron Johnson but any of those are good names. I dont see any way Mitt or Murkowski go along with it so I am not even sure they will win a challenge in the Senate. The House is a non-starter.
 
All those names want footage of them trying to save the republic for their 2024 run.
