Dave Chappelle's name is Achoo and when meets him he says "A Jew...here?" which always makes me laugh.

Sweaty Little Marco is getting ratioed. You hate to see it.
The smartest person I ever worked with/for once asked me sincerely, out of the blue, if I knew why there are seven days in a week. It really opened my eyes as to how knowledge is specialized even when it seems foundational to an individual. I tried to summarize the biblical Creation, and he gave a polite, “huh.” Dude was a brilliant scientist but had never heard the story.

Why is the month non-arbitrary?
agree on solstice and day and year.
Moon phases, I assume.
To underline your point the Creation story is not why there are 7 days in the week.
The Sabbath being the 7th day and marking the end of the week is a retro-explanation of the development by the Israelites of either their own or an adaptation of earlier Middle eastern divisions of time. The non-arbitrary divisions of time are:
The day
The month
The solstice
The year
Completely meaningless divisions of time include:
The second
The minute
The hour
The week
What happened was, the Babylonians (or earlier) took the two most significant non-arbitrary divisions, the day and the year, and considered the ratio (360-ish) to be magical. Cue 360 degrees in a circle, a base 60 counting system, 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, and that calculates out to 24 hours.
Why divide the 28-day month into 4 7-day weeks? Firstly because you get the comparison of solstice : year :: week : month. Secondly because 7 is magical: sun, moon, and 5 "planeta" -- wanderers. So every day belongs to one celestial body / god.
tl; dr: The Creation story being broken into 7 days isn't the source of the 7-day week, it falls out from the 7-day week.
Jason Johnson on MSNBC: "diversity in Biden's cabinet is great but if those diverse people want to drone strike Yemen then I don't need that."
Haines is going to speak truth to power though, so we're good to go.
