I didn't buy a gameworn Jonathon Toews Sioux jersey for $200. It makes me sad. The good deals only happen when you don't have the money to buy them.

Now, with the jersey market being rather large (it really wasn't that big back in the day), the prices have risen astronomically. New replicas of NFL jerseys as of about '95 were $40. Now they're what, about $100 or so? Semi-pro (then known as replica) hockey ones were about $60. Few wore jerseys then. It was a totally niche market.

I just got rid of a lot of my jerseys recently on ebay. They were just sitting around.

The one I'll never part with is my gameworn Benn Ferriero maroon road BC jersey from his first few games before BC switched over to RBK from Nike. I had him autograph it at the national title celebration in 2008.
