Ylae*......best team in the country? Not even the best team in the EZAC.

Re: Ylae*......best team in the country? Not even the best team in the EZAC.

That's like a gopher fan rooting for the sioux just because they live in east grand forks. Unfathomable.
I root for the Gophers all the time...to lose to the Sioux :D

Re: Ylae*......best team in the country? Not even the best team in the EZAC.

Dirty you bring up a good point despite yourself. Who goes to Cornell and then roots for Yale. Cornell has been much better then Yale historically. I can only think someone who only started liking hockey in 2009, a fairweather fan, or a turncoat.
Or someone with deep pyschological issues and antisocial tendencies.

Patrick Bateman: He was into that whole Yale thing.
Donald Kimball: Yale thing?
Patrick Bateman: Yeah, Yale thing.
Donald Kimball: What whole Yale thing?
Patrick Bateman: Well, for one thing, I think he was probably a closet homosexual who did a lot of cocaine. That whole Yale thing.

(Sorry, I love that movie)

Re: Ylae*......best team in the country? Not even the best team in the EZAC.

Carlton: Mrs. Firth, I'm in jail!
Mrs. Firth: Yale?! That's wonderful! Carlton got into Yale!

(insert Fresh Prince theme here)

I don't understand why Harvard bothered to show up this year, Smithers. they barely won!

Their cheating was even more rampant than last year, sir.

Re: Ylae*......best team in the country? Not even the best team in the EZAC.

The 2004 Harvard-Yale Prank was a practical joke performed on November 20, 2004, at the annual Yale-Harvard football game in which Yale students, costumed as a Harvard "pep squad," perpetrated a card stunt. They gave out placards to a section of Harvard fans which, when raised together, read "we suck."

The stunt was conceived and coordinated by Michael Kai and David Aulicino, two Yale students in the Class of 2005, and executed with the help of 20 classmates. Disguised as the "Harvard Pep Squad," the perpetrators handed white and crimson placards to fans—mostly Harvard alumni, with a few faculty, students, and others—in the central area of the Harvard side of the stadium. The group told the crowd that by lifting the placards they would spell "GO HARVARD."[1]

Most Harvard students, sitting in a section off to the side of the alumni area where the prank was executed, left the stands unaware of the prank; however, players on the field did see the placards.

Well, I suppose they had to do something to make a meaningless football game remotely entertaining.

I feel like there's a lot of indirect love for Union in this thread, no? ;)

Read up on the MIT prank at the Harvard-Yale game.

I believe the Yale prank was a much more elaborate one than a black MIT balloon inflating on the field. The Yale pranks also did not stop play, it just made the Harvard fans look like idiots. Notably, Yale was routed in both games.
