If UNH has tought us anything, winning a few regular season games and making the NCAA tournament a few times is not "success."

I think he and everyone else is jealous of the sense of intellectual superiority that yale fans have.

When people spout off about how great their team is, and then that team falters, other people like to rub it in their face. Doesn't matter what sport or what team. No one is jealous of you or your team. Quit being such a baby.

You can't reason your way through this so you have to resort to the bully's tactics.

Finally, admit it to yourself. Yale fans calling out the WCHA, which I never saw by the way, because I just recently joined the forum, wouldn't bother you at all if Yale hadn't beaten your team last year. This thread and the other Yale thread is about your and your fellow fans resentment at Yale's success. I never participated in that skating circles nonsense. And I never felt that Yale was a definitive number 1, as if that even mattered midway through the year. Yale will probably be a 1 seed as will BC and UND and another team to be determined. And if Yale is good enough they will advance to the Frozen Four. And if they are truly the best team they will win, an outcome that I hope for, but won't predict.

How can you expect us to take you seriously if you can't even quote properly? And someone else pointed out that trash talk often happens when team with lofty or inflated expectations fail to meet those expectations. Or is that too difficult for you to understand?

and to tipsy...nope I'm not a baby, and I am not one of those Yale fans that spouted off about the team's superiority. And the behavior that you describe as the norm is just sad and pathetic. What is really going on here is that the fans of the superior WCHA conference can't abide that a team from the ECAC, much less a team from the Ivy League, might be a worthy opponent to the teams in your league. But as I said, this will be all be settled in the NCAA tournament

Well, Yale fans were full of themselves, starting such threads about how Yale is legit, how they were a team that the WCHA and HE had to deal with, most likely during tourney time. Now that they are bricking, they are getting their "just desevrings" (board joke, you'll start to recognize them).

Oh, and I'm a MN fan. I have no dog in the race, especially anything having to do with UND. ;)

Edit: your last post is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

I started this thread as a joke and as a cut to the Ylae* fans who started the "Ylae*.......best team in the country" and "Ylae* skating circles around the WCHA", deal with it because it's not going away. UND has been beaten by so many teams in the NCAA regionals that if I was to be bothered by all of them my posts would make less sense than yours. I don't care if Ylae* beat UND last year because we would have lost to BC our next game anyways, you would might know that if you were a hockey fan before last week when Ylae* was ranked No. 1.

Why don't you admit to yourself that you don't know shyte about college hockey or this fan forum and go away before you embarrass your team and fans further.

Gee I am so sorry that I can't quote properly. New to the site and so so sorry for my grievous mistake. Since you clearly did not get my point, let me restate it for you. Some Yale fans got a little overexcited about early season success. Its understandable because Yale had never been ranked Number 1 before. Rather than take the mature approach and let that go, the hoard of UND and WCHA fans unleashed the onslaught. The motivation for that onslaught, in my opinion, is that Yale fans have no right to their opinions or happiness because the team hasn't been there before so they hadn't earned the right to boast. What bothers me is that you folks are the self appointed arbiters of what is acceptable for Yale fans to say about their team. What I question is why the boasts of some over exuberant Yale fans would bother you arbiters so much.

I'm out now, knock yourselves out patting each other on the back

Well you are right about one thing. BC would have beaten UND. But please spare me your disingenuous comments about not being bothered that Yale beat UND. As far as my knowledge of College Hockey is concerned, I am well aware that the ECAC has historically been the weakest of the Big 4 leagues. And, honestly, I was shocked that Yale beat UND last year because they ended the season poorly and because UND is one of the hockey powerhouses. This year my thoughts on Yale are that they were not as good as they were playing at the beginning of the season, nor are they as bad as they are playing now. If they win out and win the ECAC tournament or lose a close game to Union in the ECAC final, I will feel good about their chances. If they continue to stumble, then I see an early exit from the tournament. But as you surely know, since you are a self appointed expert, Miami was the consensus pick to win the Championship last year and they got smoked by BC who was not considered championship material, so you never know what can happen in a one and done situation.

Win with class, lose with class. Period. Spouting off before the season is half over, calling out conferences is not doing that. That's a free lesson, Scooter.

Get down off the cross, already. No one cares about Yale. Their fans can say whatever they want, but people have the right to ridicule them when their delusions of grandeur start to crumble.

Seriously, reading your posts it almost seems like you just started following sports. THIS IS HOW OPPOSING FANBASES COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER. NO ONE IS PERSECUTING YALE OR THEIR FANBASE.
