The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Only sometimes-like tonight. You cannot make a good living by being out shot by 23 shots in every game. Hackett was spectacular but he still needs to know how and when to just stop play and hold the puck instead of deflecting everything. Goal # 2 he really had no choice but his rebound control needs work
Things did not go well early in OT. I have always felt the first minute of OT is when most games are decided. We came out a bit slow and Yale had 2 incredible chances. This is one they let get away and I am very happy we were the recipients of their failure to nail it down. And as usual, we got the one extra penalty for the game (that is nothing new). Give our boys credit, we are short handed, we have several of our first line stars out and we still win. Love the chances created by the MNM line even though they only got on the scoresheet once, they kept Yale having to think quickly about going backward.
This team is like the cardiac kids. This game, even though mostly outshot and outplayed, was still winnable and again we lose a lead late in the game. But this year it is very different as they just do not throw in the towel and you never know where it will come from. I can imagine the post game press conference and SA saying he did not like how we played or how some did not play the way he wanted. personally, i do not give a hoot of playing his way or my way or any way. Just win baby and do not give away a game with any sort of bad decision making.
