Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

:30 left in the Yale PP, faceoff in the Colgate zone.....Yale's PP is creating more chances than Colgate's so far.....1-0 Yale

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

3 Grade-A chances at the end of PP stopped by Mihalik

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Colgate will go on the PP now with 5:06 left in the 2nd......Still 1-0 Yale

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

1:31 left in the Colgate PP, much better pressure on this one so far for Colgate

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Announcer thought Colgate scored, but play keeps going on.....PP is now over, 2:50 left in the 2nd.

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Replay shows that it grazed the post, no goal 1-0 Yale

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Mihalik with a couple more big saves from in close.....1:47 left in the 2nd.

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Shots now read 25-14 in favor of Yale...They have controlled the majority of play in the 2nd.

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

A few more chances for Yale in the last minute of the period and Mihalik with some big saves, he has been steady

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Scramble in front as the buzzer sounds and the puck stays out of the net.....End of 2nd. from Atlantic City 1-0 Yale

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

1-0 Yale end of second.
Game is set up for a great third period. While Yale may have the better of the balance of play, Colgate has been competing hard and they are one bounce away from a tie game going into the third. Yale badly needs to score the next one.

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

Shots are 27-14 Yale after the 2nd. and 19-6 for the period.....Yale controlled that period all except the first couple of minutes.

Re: Yale - Colgate ECACH Semi-Final 3/18/11 in Atlantic City

In the between periods interview, Broc Little says "ice isn't good" and its "warm in the building". I wonder if they have got a dehumidifier in there. It would be a shame if the conditions are sub-optimal. And remind me why are we in Atlantic City, again?

This tournament belongs in Lake Placid and hopefully after the next two years here in Atlantic City it will come back, but in the meantime we will have to deal with what we got......The arena looks nice though.

I'm not sure Lake Placid is the answer either. I love the character of the place, but its pretty remote, too. I know this is a very debatable and emotional subject, but I'd like to see the tournament in Boston or NYC (if not MSG, perhaps the Pru Center or the building in the Meadowlands, whatever its called now). I'd like to see the tournament in a place where there are already plenty of graduates of the 12 ECAC schools.
