Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Condolences....

Cap Carey ‏@CapCareyWDT 2m
just heard that Tim Taylor passed away. He was one of the nicest coaches I ever covered. Thoughts to his family and friends.

Sad to hear about Tim Taylor, a true legend.

But at least he got to see his Bulldogs win a national championship.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

At the frozen four I was told he was in poor health, my condolences.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

RIP Coach Taylor. You were one of the classiest and most admirable individuals in hockey and more importantly, life. Thanks for all your contributions. It was a privilege to have known you and worked with you as well. Hockey was better for your presence and poorer now for your passing.

No SI & no parade.

Yeah.......I was enjoying watching the post game on TV until I saw our idiot governor Molloy in the picture. Blame him for the lack of a state wide celebration or parade. Instead of governing the state that idiot was on a PR tour at both the Frozen Four and Women's Final Four (Likely spending our money to get there.)

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Umm, the state has nothing to do with a school's celebration. Each school decides and funds its own celebration. I chatted with a Yale student-athlete (different sport) at the airport heading home and he was surprised by my asking when he thought the campus celebration would be and after being told that schools typically did something still doubted Yale would (they'd just celebrate at Toads) so Yale did exceed one S-A's expectations. BC in '2008 simply had an in-rink celebration. Better organized, imo, (the circle might seem like a nice pattern for the chairs, but hello, that means backs to the crowds if they had actually all used them)

For those unfamiliar with the website Storify, it is a new social media site that allows you to create a free flowing, image based story using Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and any URL you can your hands on. It's no Sports Illustrated, but this is what I came up with.

Do the downtown New Haven stores (bookstore, etc) have some national championship gear or do you have to order online.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Congrats on the title. Yuck. At least an ECAC team won it this year.

It took two weeks, but we appreciate it! Brown has been the thorn in Yale's side recently and will continue to be in the future I am sure. Keep up the good fight, as Yale has shown, you never know.

Try Campus Customs on Broadway. I would think the Yale Bookstore, aka Barnes and Noble might as well. I miss the Yale Coop!
