Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

From Chip Malafronte's blog:

One advantage Yale will have over many other teams in the national scope is that there leaving after your junior year just doesn't make sense when you weigh option of getting Yale degree versus turning pro a year earlier. With that said, it is not at all surprising that Agostino will be staying for his senior year. Most likely he will be the captain and certainly gives Yale great hopes heading into championship defense.
Our young defense will be a year older as well.
Look forward to watching first pitch at Fenway.

Congrats to you and the rest of Yale fans. LT, RPI fans are happy for you. We always enjoy your forays into our thread.
Thanks AD, it has been a dream week for me,I retired from the Fire Department after 32 years last Friday, Yale goes and shocks the college hockey world, and the day after they won, I was on a plane to Ireland, I am currently posting from Castle bar. The support of many ECAC fans was certainly appreciated. I was extremely impressed with the comeback by RPI this year, they will be a force in the league next year, also congrats on retaining Appert, he is a great Coach.

Every once in a while I think I'm dreaming...Yale is national champion...and then I pinch myself and realize its not a dream. But it is unbelievable...

and what a bright future. While Miller had a historic career at Yale (all time assist leader), we will return more players next year than we have in a while.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

What do you folks think? Time for the off season thread? Or do we want to keep this one going?
:)

Can't we wallow in our good fortune just a little bit longer before we start worrying/anticipating? We're only a hundred posts from filling this one up, anyway. Allain has probably started preparing for next year, but that doesn't mean we have to yet... I'd say wait for my third shipment of Championship paraphernalia to arrive. #StillPinchingSelf

I forget exactly where I saw it, but one of the stores in New Haven is selling a t-shirt that reads, "For God, for country, and 4-0"

Do you have any idea where that might have been? I would love to get my hands on one of those.

I wish I could remember exactly where I saw it. It was about a week ago and I thought I saw the link in a YDN article, but now I can't find it, and it could easily have been somewhere else as I visited a lot of websites those few days after the championship game. If I happen across it again I will post the link.

Here is the site for the t-shirt. http://hockeychampions.goodsie.com/

Check out http://www.sports-casters.com/ for an interview I did with Anthony Day and Kenny Agostino (There are also interviews with Lee Jenkins and Richard Deitsch from Sports Illustrated but if you just want to hear the Yale boys skip to the 1:57:06 mark)
