Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Great atmosphere at the Lee Amphitheater last night. Students, profs, alums, Yale employees, and public were all cheering for the home team. Every shot, every save had the crowd cheering... Those two quick 2nd period goals by UML dampened the enthusiasm at bit but as Yale kept the pressure up in the 3rd, the crowd was back cheering. Seemed like only a matter of time before the Eli scored and when Miller put the icing on the cake in OT, the place erupted.

Thanks to Modern Pizza for the slices. The 30 or so large pizzas were devoured before the game even started, so late arrivals were out of luck. Free T-shirts were on hand but these too ran out after the 1st period or so.

Looking forward to a great game Saturday night.

Nice to see the QU fans in Pittsburgh cheering Miller's game winner last night. For the next 48 hours at least, Whitney Avenue is the center of the College Hockey Universe.

Thinking about going Saturday, is there a parking lot nearby?

There's a decent sized parking lot behind the Payne Whitney building with entrances off of Lake Place. Two gates with one usually open; the lot accommodates about 50 cars. If the parking lot is full or the gate is down and locked, you can park on Lake Place and walk through the parking lot to get to the building's front entrance on Tower Parkway.

Very well played yesterday guys. Some part of that was us not being there but you guys were a serious buzz-saw and kept us on our heels the entire game. The better team definitely won last night. Good luck tomorrow night.

As most people know, I bleed crimson....but I will be cheering for Yale on say night. This run has been inspirational and how can one to root for Yale given their journey to get here?

Best of luck!

Can anyone tell me which section(s) Yale has at Consol? My brother is hoping to score some last minute tix to Saturday's game.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

excellent team you have there but we BC fans knew that first hand back in January . The most skilled team i have seen this year

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

I'd like to help you out with that but... ;)

Having watched all 3 Yale-QU games this year, I must say that with the exception of the first 10 minutes of the first game and Ingalls, QU has absolutely dominated Yale. Our forecheck which causes so many problems for other teams, looks JV against QU. And then QU is fast and crashes the net HARD, which is one of our problems. That being said, the Yale team I have watched in the NCAAs seems to be on different level than the one from earlier this year, and the biggest difference is on D. It should be a great game, and will without doubt be the toughest challenge of the NCAAs for Yale.

Mostly 110, also some of 109. Many Yale fans throughout the building, though, and I expect there will be many more tomorrow. Hopefully a big busload from New Haven as well, as there is a late deal for current students to buy tickets for $50 and be bused to the game from campus.

Great job this year by the ECAC teams in the tourney. Big, Union College fan, was able to attend road games at Yale and Quinnipiac this year, enjoyed both rinks.

I tip my hat to both teams, great efforts, skating and grit. All wins in ECAC conference play are coveted, this years post season play especially by Y & Q has been incredible. Both teams are are champions in my eyes.
