Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

All I can say is wow. This is NOT the Yale team that looked completely dead in the water in Atlantic City. They looked pathetic that weekend, and I totally wrote them off.

Boy, was I wrong. Congrats to Yale and its fans! You're making the ECAC proud. Here's hoping for an all-ECAC championship!

Speed kills, nice win, very impressed with your team. Enjoy

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Congrats to the Bulldogs. What a dominating performance (other than 17 sec in period 2  ) .

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Woo Yale! I'm heading to Yale for grad school, so I guess I can be an Eli fan now (unless they're playing RPI).

Great win Yale!

Crazy picture of the winning goal celebration...taking place in front of the QU cheering section...which was cheering: Go ECAC!!

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Too much speed for UMass Lowell to handle. They were back on their heels all night long. The Miller/Agostino line might be the best in college hockey at the moment. Just goes to show that when you get hot at the right time, anything is possible.

Congrats to the Bulldogs. Go win it for the ECAC, for the Ivies and most especially for your University. We know what it feels like to win it. Hopefully you'll know as well about 11pm on Saturday. How about an all Connecticut final??

It kills me every time I see Miller do something special knowing that we could have had him had Teddy just taken the time to meet with him when he visited Cambridge. We've blown opportunities like this way too often and it is why we are a moribund program at the moment. But seeing Yale succeed in this tournament gives me hope that we can turn it around and make it back to the Frozen Four. Someday.

As a UVM fan .... Thank You! Good to shut up e UML trolls. Yale dominated that game. Score should have been 12 to 2. Good luck in the finals. Hoping for an all ecac final.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

That was just plain fun to watch. Yale is so well-coached and has players who think the game. Their positioning was perfect. Melrose said Yale was faster; having watched both teams play in the last month or so I don't know that's necessarily the case. Lowell has speed. But Yale was so well-positioned, on both the offensive and defensive sides of the puck and so good at anticipating play that it looked like they were considerably faster. Of course, they also have big-time players. The way they whipped it around on their PP in the second period made a statement. It looked like an NHL power play. And the way they came out in overtime and picked up right where they had left off showed a lot as a lesser team may have had a mental let down after controlling the third without scoring. Miller's finish was class. Lowell was an excellent team, two weeks ago I thought Lowell would win it all -- they were that good in the Hockey East tournament. Maybe they peaked too soon. But I think Yale was just a buzzsaw today.

Yale looked like it was on a 30 minute power play ;)
