Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Congratulations Ylae!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic game and effort. One more to go!!!

I was so worried with the score tied and you guys dominating; the only fair outcome was the one that came out. It would have been a shame to lose a game like that after controlling the whole game. I too watched UML in the Hockey East tournament and earlier on in the NCAA's. I thought they were the class of the 4 teams remaining and my pick to win it all (not who I was rooting for however).....but your team executed perfectly and were by far the better team on the ice tonight. Come on.....one more W to end the season in style!!!!!

Great win. Yale deserved that win.

Anyone in the New Haven area who hasn't been to Payne Whitney for the viewing parties, you should go. The atmosphere makes it a great place to watch Yale win.

Congrats to Yale and their fans, a well deserved win. Good luck in the finals!

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Yale has now out skated, out forechecked and out scored the
WCHA champion, the Hockey East champion, and the perennial WHCA power. Whatever happens on Saturday, they are now an elite program. The so-called experts need to rethink what constitutes a winning hand in College Hockey. Yale's forecheck puts unrelenting pressure on their opponents and neutralizes the size disadvantage they typically face. Now let's root for an all ECAC final!

Nicely done Yalies! Absolutely earned this one, and terrific fun to watch. Hi to The 'Houn as well.

Bull-dog! Bull-dog! Bow, wow, wow,
Eli Yale!
Bull-dog! Bull-dog! Bow, wow, wow,
Our team can never fail.
When the sons of Eli break through the line,
That is the sign we hail,

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Congratulations. Your team is playing extremely well, and has earned the opportunity to play for the national championship. I hope we get the chance to play you on Saturday.

Thanks, appreciate the kind words and thoughts. I am still in somewhat of a state of shock over last weekends results. We knew Yale was good, but they were so erratic that you could not judge what team would appear from one game to the next. It looks like Allain mixed things up a bit a just the right time and has these kids firing on all cylinders. The thing that makes me most happy is that Andrew Miller is getting a chance to show his play making skills on a national level. I told a Columbus Blue Jacket scout at the SLU game to keep an eye on him, because I have never seen a player (in the ECAC at least) with better vision on the ice. He never makes the pass that the D thinks is coming. I have not looked at next years schedule, but I hope the BC OOC games continue.

I agree wholeheartedly -LT you are a class act. That said, no team in the country can skate with Yale. Was at Q game. Yale up 2-0 when Q nearly paralyzed Yale D into boards. Instead of 10 min misconduct, they got 2 - game turned from there. This time it'll be different. Wish a true fan like you were there (hope you can go).

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

I saw Yale when the team came here earlier this season to play Denver. Bulldogs won in OT. They were good then and are now, period.

Impressed - well said.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

I know you guys don't really consider it a rivalry with the Q, but we certainly do up in Hamden.

Hey, whatever happens on Saturday, I hope everyone enjoys this (just a little less than we do, of course). What a great moment for the area.

I was there today and saw the game from the upper deck, I said to a local fan that it would be nice if Miller broke the team assist record by assisting on the winning goal. Then he goes and shows off. Great game by Yale. I cannot attend Saturday, but will be watching from home. BEAT QU!!!!

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Congratulations to Yale from a Boston University fan. All Connecticut final is so cool.
My loyalties are split. Born in New Haven, grew up in Woodbridge, took classes at QU.
Best of luck to both teams.
