The most recent offseason has been a time of upheaval for the men’s ice hockey team.

Though Keith Allain ’80 remains at the helm for his 10th season as head coach, he will have two new assistant coaches following the departures of Dan Muse and Jason Guerriero. Muse, who had been an assistant for the Bulldogs since 2009, was named head coach of the Chicago Steel, a member of the United States Hockey League. He was promoted to associate head coach following the Elis’ national championship in 2013 and now moves to his first head coaching position. Guerriero, who brought six years of professional experience to the bench, left Yale for the same position with Brown after two seasons in New Haven, opting to be closer to his family, who are located near Boston.

Siembida is listed as Asst. Coach so they would need one more to come aboard to fill Jason's shoes. Tough timing, especially when the Assistants do much of the recruiting. Some talk of trying to lure recently retired Yale pros into the fold.

Any intel on a new Asst. Coach? It would seem they would have to hire someone sooner rather than later.

ECAC Hockey Goaltending Preview

With the last four national champions having starting goaltenders with save percentages of .930, .929, .933 and .937, it cannot be understated how important the position is to a team's overall success.

ECAC Hockey is in good hands at the top with several well established goaltenders looking to add to their already impressive resumes.

Re: 2015-16 schedule

Re: 2015-16 schedule

Yale lately likes to recruit from or guide players to the USHL. It will be good to have a Canadian born coach with hopefully some knowledge of the BCHL and other leagues and recruits north of the border. Also nice to have a Yale alum who is familiar with Allain's system and work ethic.

Agreed
FYI, losing ast to ushl had nothing to do with Marino leaving. Also, the key guys from Natl champ team were already there

Yale is Allain and the school, period

So why did Marino leave HD?

Brian O'Neill was traded to the New Jersey Devils for a 7th round draft pick. He is listed on the Devils roster for the first regular season game on Friday night. Congrats to him, he worked hard for his shot.

Brian could end up on the same line with Brown's Matt Lorito. It will be fun watching them play together.
